Steeda Autosports has once again taken the S550 Mustang to the next level of performance and comfort with our exclusive Adjustable Urethane Differential Mount Bushing Insert System for all 2015-2016 Mustang GT! When our engineers sat down to design this kit, we had to come up with a way to increase performance without sacrificing an ounce of drivability all while keeping the car quiet!
Unlike our competitors' kits that will absolutely increase NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), take 3-4 hours to install and force you to permanently modify the rear IRS suspension with a sawzall, Steeda's does not! Steeda's kit installs in under 1 hour, adds little to no increase in NVH, is adjustable and can be easily removed - it simply doesn't get any better than this!
Minimize pinion angle changes, increase traction, eliminate wheel hop and differential deflection with Steeda's new kit. Made from high-strength urethane to Steeda's exact specifications and durometers, our kit comes with 2 different bushing options - our red 'street' 80 durometer bushings and our black 'performance' 90 durometer bushings. Both bushing options will increase performance with no increase in NVH, a Steeda-exclusive.
Steeda's kit adds the strength and support the OEM bushings need to perform the way our customers intended. Once again, this is not a permanent modification - there is no drilling, cutting or pressing required. Simply loosen and remove a couple bolts and this kit installs in less than 1 hour. Bushings are included for both the front and rear differential mounting locations. Grade 10.9 hardware is included with zinc-plated washers.
Note: For hardcore enthusiasts that want ZERO pinion deflection, try our 555 4440 kit. This kit features aluminum bushing inserts. For race-use only as it will increase NVH and gear noise.

Hi there, is It possible to put the front ones in with just one longer bolt and a nut with a washer instead of the two Bolts? So than you don‘t have to drop the subframe you know.

Are you guys going to make a set to fit 2023 Mustangs. I heard that Ford keeps changing the bushing. I don't want to cut the nub off because if I decide for some reason to take them out then that cut I made creates a greater failure point. Would you guys consider letting me order a set and have you do the cutting to all the bushings? Kinda like a special order.

What if you install only the rear ones? I don't want to uninstall the IRS braces in order to install the front ones, any problem with that?

I have a vibration in my rear end. Have tried everything to remedy it. Could these being wore out cause this ?

Couldn’t get this to fit on my 2018 GT. Driver side front bolt is impossible without completely dropping subframe. I went as far as removing exhaust for extra clearance and nothing. Still needed to drop at least another 3-4” to get it in there. Both subframe front bolts off and rear bolts almost completely loose.

Good afternoon! Our mechanics suggest removing the front bolts and loosening the rear, pry the subframe to the rear of the car. They will slide in no problem.

I had the same problem...finally got them in...Had to loosen rear subframe bolts to get it to drop more and then I was finally able to get them in. I tried to put bushing in first and then bolt, dumb move cause the bolt would never go in...slid busing on bolt and then was able to get it in together. This was a royal pain, hope it improves the irs. Now I have to install alignment from steeda to get the subframe aligned because it's completely out of whack. I swear I cussed more in this installation more then my procharger install.

CJ Pony Parts installation is a little different than yours for the front bushings installation as where one side the bolt had to be cut and you guys didn't even mention that? I got the sub-frame bushings in the middle but my mechanic was hesitant on the front bushings support and didn't do it because he was afraid to damage the drive axle where you had the jack stand on so is it safe to do this on an automatic transmission and if so how many inches do we need to drop it? Do you have a video for the auto S550 installation?

Good afternoon, we do not have a separate video for the automatic install because the instructions are no different between the two. It's safe to do on an auto and the amount it needs to drop is dependent on the job and room needed. You can try loosening the straps the hold the fuel tank to give you a bit more room to work with.

Steeda Thank you for the quick reply and will consider going back to explain to my friend that it's ok and it won't break the drive axle I do have your Subframe Brace & IRS Bushings installed already with vertical links plus now with the differential bushings in the center so can I assume I'm good to go without having them install the front bushings for the differential? I do notice better takeoffs already from this current setup.

Glad to hear you're getting better launches already! However, we don't recommend installing only half the kit as we have not done any testing with the car in that configuration, thus we have no information on how it would react.

On the 2018-2020 Mustang the front bushings are a complete pain in the ass to get in. You will have to drop the whole subframe all 4 bolts (front & rear). And still the driver side is a complete tight fit to slide in. Give yourself time, it's a job for the front bushings. Ford must have changed something in 2018. The rear bushings are simple. Note: If you upgraded the half shafts you will have to cut the bolt to remove it from the front.

It really depends. We've installed this on some cars and there was no increase in NVH, but on others it does transmit that rear differential noise into the cabin. This is why we say it "may" increase NVH.

This video is very confusing. The kit comes with 2 red and 2 black. This video shows installing 4 red.

the RED is slightly Softer for Street use, and the BLACK is Harder for Track use.
