S550 Mustang GT One year of ownership. Today I discuss the issues I have had, the mods I have done, and goals for the car. This is a 2015 Mustang GT with Performance Pack and Recaro Seats. It is a Manual Transmission.

I personally don't hate a spoiler on these, I feel like it enhances that upward pitch, but at the same time it looks good without one, Ford did a fantastic job designing this car

I just installed my jlt kit today and saw my valve cover leaking, tightened up the bolts, some of them were very loose, I hope this fixed it and not a bad gasket

I have a performance package and changed out the 9s up front for the 9.5s and have 275s all around with 25mm hubcentric spacers and never had an issue with them. I got mine from CJ pony parts

also for the suspension, get the steeda wheel hop full package, you will thank me later, i had the package and swap the performance pack sway bars and strut shock with progressive spring, the handling now is superior with the sve r350 wheels on recently

My 2016 California special is white with black trim. Living in Florida, its hard to keep clean, but I wash it almost everyday. Only mod I have is a cold air intake. Air aid. I live the sound it makes. Flo masters are next and thats it.

lmr sve r350 is a fantastic wheel set, i have them on mine

for spoiler, front splitter i got apr carbon fiber, for rear wing, i got steeda race functional wing, u can also choose the apr drag race carbon fiber wing about $300 more than the steeda. For carbon fiber rear wing, the concern is the surface coat will peel off eventually getting sun burn

I have had my 19 since August 19. I have the Steeda progressive rate lowering springs and the Steeda stop the hop kit. I also have 20x9 +30 offset Verde axis wheels with 285/35/20 BFG comp 2 A/S tires. The car handles fantastic with this set up. Deleted the resonator with the Steeda H-pipe and the sound is perfect. I have had zero issues and tend to drive the car pretty hard at times with cruises and track time. I also ha e done plenty of appearance upgrades with stripes,, lighting, underhood beautification.. It definitely is dependable and a very livable sport Coupe.

How does the fitment of the wheels/tires look? Im trying to get as close as possible to the one in the video. I would want 295-305 on the rear tho…

i am currently still NA, no boost yet. Already spend around $7k on the mods, mostly DIY, labor cost around $400, if u plan to get supercharged in the future, prepare ur budget around 10k+, i will not do it. I probably will trade the GT for a 2019+ gt350

for the tire option, get the Michelin and u will thank me later, i have A/S 3+ , super all season and free rotation(19/10/285/35 square setup)

spring rates are what matter. I'm sure the eibachs are a higher spring rate than stock and that is what's causing those differences. Firehawks are great but just a little noisey. Shocked about the oil leak. Was looking at exchanging my Z for a 2015 up GT but worry about the reliability especially with a used mustang. Awesome update and appreciate the video

Yeah the Oil leak surprised me too. If your looking a mustang just make sure its still in warranty. From what I have seen on the s550 owners page on facebook most guys have seen the Oil leak while still under warranty.

Nah trade it. My 2017 has been great for 4 years and 50k miles. I drive it throught new hampshire winters too

I went with Magnetic Silver having already 2 other black cars... Also the Mustang paint quality is not the best (soft clear coat) so unless the owner spends a lot of $$$ upfront to protect it (the car will need paint corrections straight fro the dealer when new) black Mustangs are really difficult to keep up. I’m 19 I’ve owned two mustang gts, a new edge and now a 3v. I’ve been thinking about financing a car, im able to put down a large down payment ($7k-$9k), my parents have very good credit and can cosign for me, and i have a decent job. I was really considering getting a c6 corvette but it just becomes kinda difficult to justify paying over $20k for a car that will be 20 years old by the time i finish paying it. For about $25k I can find an early gen (2015-2016) s550 mustang GT, and honestly thats becoming extremely appealing to me. I fucking LOVE mustangs its crazy to think a year ago i would’ve never thought I had a legitimate chance of buying a new mustang before i turn 21 but here I am shopping.

Seems like the perfect bargain. Was gona try to get a gen 6 zl1 but that’ll be too much rn and the fastest thing I’ve driven Is my Camry lol I’d probably kill myself.

Any issues putting alignment and camber back into spec after the spring/spacer install?

Front camber bolts were installed and my local tire shop was able to get it into manufacturers specs. Front and rear.

I've read the 6 speed manual transmission has weak shift forks and they break easily. Any issues with the gearbox or clutch?

My mustang is lowered and thinking about doing spacers myself. Could you elaborate on your comments about 20mm vs 1 inch spacers? I have a 2017 GT PP

If you go 20mm you will have to get new wheel studs or grind them down a little. 1 inch you won’t have to do that.

Just camber bolts for the front. All my camber is within spec. But I will be getting the rear camber kit to get the rear dialed in better.

If your ac condenser goes out post that. Its a known issue on the 15 but not a recall for some reason.

Backspacing is key. My wheels put the wheels flush with the body.
