remember the try paul jordaan scored vs england u18 side. he was at 10 and johan goosen was subed that game. paul jordaan is a more lethal runner than goosen, but goosen just has a bigger boot which is what gives him the edge at the end of the day.

Awesome list, I would have gone with Goosen at 10 but it is hard to choose though. Also Sergeal Petersen at 14 he was an incredible player at school level.

15. Never watched Jessie in high school, so I'd go for Curwin Bosch (even though I hate that he's allergic to tackling!). His talent in high school was freakish. Also liked Zwelindaba from Selborne. Special mention to Gianni Lombard. 14. Happy with Muller du Plessis... don't think he'll go all the way because of size, but he's magical. Small mention to Jacobs from Paarl Gim as well. Played liked a man amongst boys. 13. Never watched Gelant at high school but I hear he was amazing. Would also consider Vlitoor from Grey College or Wandisile Simelane from Jeppe Boys. 12. Jan Serfontein. Undisputed and should've been in the world cup squad last year. Many were also very impressed with Rikus Pretorius from Grey College. 11. Don't know Duhan, so I can't comment on him. I'd consider Cheslin Kolbe here or even at fullback. 10. Damien Willemse is definitely it!!! I fully feel the frustration of those who would opt for Goosen. Curwin Bosch also deserves a mention. 9. I honestly believe that between Jaden and Damien Willemse, these are my two favourite rugby players of the decade. Many would opt for Sanele Nohamba here from Durban Boys. 8. Never watched Rikus sadly. I was impressed by Pepsi Buthelezi from Durban Boys, and Evan Roos from Paarl Boys, but I see you added him at 7 so no complaints from me. Special mention to Hacjivah Dayimani from Jeppe Boys. 7. Happy with Evan Roos. He has insane speed and size! Enjoyed watching Dylan Richardson from Kearsney as well. Special mention to Celimpilo Gumede from Durban Boys. 6. Jean Luc!!! Absolute monster... absolute! And definitely better than Dan. I'd also like to mention Malcom Marx here, or at hooker - even though he was a flank at school level. 5. Salmaan Moeraat. You said it all. I have nothing to add. Great captain. Big Ball Carrier. Comes from great pedigree. 4. RG Snyman. SA is too blessed. Hard and yet has such finesse. A great mix of both Bakkies and Matfield! "Stole lineouts like a Gupta!" Hahahahaha! #Classic 3. Thomas du Toit. Great talent. 2. Jacques Goosen has no respect for his body. I hope he grows a bit more and takes better care of himself... he is a wrecking ball! I'd also like to mention JJ Kotze from Paul Roos; very talented. 1. Jan Hendrik... someone send this boy to therapy... he's a monster!!! Intimidating. Strong as an ox. Fast. Has ball skills. He's very special. Asenathi Ntlabakanye is the most skillful prop that SA has ever produced. Highly underrated, and not used to the best of his potential. He has a goose, a cut-out pass, a sidestep... all at 140kgs!

I dont know what games you've been watching over the years but no schoolboys have ever come close to the performances of that backline. The things Jordan did at craven week and for SA schools was just amazing.

I think if you pick on how players was still at school the Goosen is the best player probably this century. Kaplan said a few months ago that Goosen is the best player he ever refereed at schoolboy level (Pollard close 2nd)... Does Paul Jordaan make the cut age wise? Just a few names of players I thought was also very good: Papier, Dries Swanepoel, RJVR at waterkloof... Tough list, but I think the one player that no one can convince me on is Goosen, good list otherwise imo ... think another 2019 player is Marcel Muller (I know you're a fan too)?

@@NextGenXV I'm not sure where you put VDM in the boks side now. Pretty settled. I wouldn't move Kolbe to 15. Rather Damien at 15, he won't unseat Pollard so for him and us we must them both in. DDA will continue for a few years at 12 so we won't see a Pollard/Damien 10/12. That only leaves Mapimpi, Nkosi in his way. At Scotland VDM probably won't fulfill his potential. So he's in a tricky situation. Like WP Nel he would become well known but he wouldn't win the big boys trophies.

@@NextGenXV If you do look at that 2023 vision please look at Jasper as a mention for a potential replacement for Duanne. He needs to be in the frame by end of next year imo. I don't think that you can take Pollard of 10 now. He's in a sweet spot having been the only player ever to be top scorer in WC, SR and RC in one year and winning the 2 big ones. And also DDA is too slow for 13 for me. Damien is still young and if he can work with willie in terms of defensive positioning at 15 and timing of going into to first receiver channel from 15 he will be our Damien McKenzie. Jan is playing good rugby recently again too. Mapimpi turns 30 so we might need to get some more wings in before 2023. I would: 9. Faf 10. Handre 11. Mapimpi 12. DDA 13. Jan/Am/Kriel 14. Kolbe 15. Damien
