2008 Saab 93 4 cyl in Canada. Changed thermostat and temp sensor and still not enough heat. It was taking very long time for the engine to get warm (not hot) Also outside temperature readings were inaccurate. I called 2 mechanics and they sugested to use different higher temp thermostat (wrong).This video cured all problems. Thank you very much for this video ! I have also 2007 Saab 95 and 2000 93 for number of years.Too bad that they aren't build anymore. I am going to keep mine as long as possible.

It is great to see someone taking the time to share their professional knowledge in such informative videos.
@CycloneCyd3 жыл бұрын
It does what it says on the tin really. The wastegate solenoid is clipped to the turbo by the wastegate actuator. The ECU believes there is a problem with it or it's wiring. Actions: 1. spray thro the solenoid to make sure it's clean and not sticking 2. check the connections and wiring 3. check the pipes for splits / blockages 4. replace the solenoid if 1-3 find no issues

Good video to have out there. Although my 2007 9-5 states to start the engine first, and then just press the "AUTO" and "Recirc" at the same time. The SID then states it's being done. Hello Sir! Finally someone who understands troubleshooting! I have a 2011 Saab 93 2.0 Turbo. I believe that i heard You describe my warm stay issue perfectly on another of your preservatives. My issue is that cold start is perfect every time. Get the car to operating temperature ( short run to the shops ) Park up and leave for any time in excess of 10 minutes. Engine will start but not idle and did immediately. It may splutter slightly with some throttle application but will still not idle until it starts and gets revved repeatedly; then it will idle. *note: doing a clear flood crank on key with accelerator fully depressed sometimes helps. * Car has never died on driving etc and pulls perfectly. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator recently as it was leaking externally last the o-ring. I believe that fuel is boiling in the lines when parked and vapor locking. Any thoughts???

Hey Cyd; thank you for the awesome and very informative videos. I have used your videos to help me repair my 2005 9-3 2.0T; it is our daily driver and our only vehicle. I have a quick question about the heater blower motor control module. My car is equipped with the automatic climate control and the blower motor control module stopped working and shorted out and burnt some of the wires in the connector that goes into the control module. I bought a new control module and repaired the burnt wires; my problem is now the heater blower will run and blows for about 5-10 seconds then stops and then it won't come back on maybe 30 minutes later and once again only for 5-10 seconds then shuts off again. I know it's not because the cabin is up to temperature because here in Canada the outside temperature has been -12c and the cabin temperature was set at 27c and the fan was set on high. The blower motor will work if I remove the control module and wire power directly to the blower motor and turn it on and off by pulling the fuse so we can have heat. Any idea what the problem may be? Would it be a faulty control module ( it's from URO brand) or would it be that the system has cycle through to learn that it has a new control module? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks from Canada
@CycloneCyd3 жыл бұрын
I can't be certain, but my guess would be you've either not repaired a wire correctly or you got the wire positions mixed up. When you say a new control module, do you mean a brand new resitor pack for in the bottom of the motor unit?

I know it’s been quite a year long, but I just read your post and I’m having the same problem with my Saab 2008 model 93 .
