Me too, I have a 2001 93 turbo that has been sitting for over a decade under a tree in my driveway. In the last few days I decided to clean it up, register it, change the oil and plugs and drive it again. Even agyer sitting all that time it runs just fine. Gets into full boost, drives smooth everything. I do think it could use new struts, and I do have new control arms I bought before parking it but for a car sitting a decade I am amazed at how remarkably well it is doing.

There's another way to do it using the recirculating valve, remove the airbox, cut the top half off where the air is dumped back in. Make sure you leave the connecting points on the lower half of the box and reinstall the box/filter combination. You now get the psshhh sound but with the standard recirc valve.

Not really, If you run a open sportsfilter instead of airbox you Will hear a woosh, but Its not near The performance and loud of an open valve

Oh okay i see, i thought you had both MAF hooked up somehow. You just have two in there so you can easily switch between valves. Ill check out your other videos. Im prepping my 01 93 se vert for a stage 3 tune.

I find that this set up takes away some power but makes a hell of a blow off valve noise . and having 2 mafs installed you can have best of both worlds with minimal messing around . i like it for going to car shows . but not for street racing

Did you have to splice into the original MAF wires to run both MAF's or do you just have the one in the charged air pipe hooked up? I ask because I see you did not remove the original MAF sensor from the pre-turbo piping.

I only run one of them, The original is only there as a backup plan and acts as a prefilter to the turbo 😉

You have a reliable tune, know that all your hardware is working. I have OPEN Sid to double check if i want to know something. your car will not just randomly overboost...

It doesnt look for air returen, The maf is The "check point" for air and since its after The bov its ok. Nothing done to the ecu 👍

Moving the airflow meter behind the turbo is a bad idea: it's easy to damage the airflow meter with a drop of turbo oil.

Hi Jonas, I don't want to interfere with the topic of the video, but I don't know wheres the best place to post for your advice: I have a 2001 93 2.0, drove it for a couple of thousand miles with no issues, suddenly lots of oil being blown off the engine somewhere under the throttle body i believe, haven't been able to find the exact spot , this happens just when boosting, (lost 2 litters in a couple of minutes) the amount of oil is huge, suspecting of a bad PCV system or some other component that I'm not aware of, any advice would be extremely appreciated!!

Best to start with an engine wash and then let the car idle and try to find it. Driving the car makes it oily everywhere

If you go high boost with The recirculating system it Will interfere with The spool of The turbo. Look at any high power car and you Will see in 90% of all cases that they dump boost to atmosphere

haha har exakt samma dumpventil liggandes, man kanske skulle bygga om lite på 9-5an! dock standard tryckrör så blir väl lite mer meck för att få till det bra :)

Try a sport filter that fits in the original air box, that made a big difference in my previous Saab 9-3 T5. I do not know how the air goes in the TTID model but my 2.0t Hirsch has a surprisingly loud stock BOV, so a sport airfilter insert is more then enough for me.

Its no different then all the t5 guys that run a louder blow off valve, t7 guys have always wanted better sounds then what a stock valve sounds like. He is simply showing people how easy it really is to do on the t7 systems
