I really wish they had kept and further refined the STS. I REALLY loved the STS design right before it was discontinued. Perfect proportions. Not too old-man-looking but not rounded or too European-looking either. I'd have been in heaven if they had put the interior of this Cadillac into the STS.

I purchased a 2013 XTS PLATINUM in November 2022 with 68k miles. Now it has almost 74k. It is an amazing vehicle. The only thing mine is missing is Adaptive Cruise. I think on the 2016 model they introduced the rear entertainment system. I wish i can get that. However, she is a dream to drive.

I have to agree with everyone else, awesome job on your videos. I have been in the auto industry for over 15 years and you cover the details like no other. I have owned a few new Cadillac Deville's/DTS's and will be moving up to a new XTS in spring of 13. Your videos of the two XTS's you reviewed did a better job then any car magazine or review on the entire internet. I am very big into specs and options on cars and you nail every detail to a T. Keep up the good work!

u may be right but cadillac has the most comfortable ride i've ever experienced... i ain't much of a racing kinda guy. i like comfort & space more than speed. in those aspects, cadillac is the best i think.

How do you think the CUE compares to your Charger's unit?

What dazzles most, apart from everything else...is the closed cabin SILENCE with those window laminations for noise abatement. This is a Cadillac hallmark of quality, venturing into luxury with its discerning customer base its long been known for. That red exterior is sumptuously exotic to the eye, a rich flake shimmering in the sunlight.

Yes, they do share many parts with Ford. It is Ford's strategy to go with global platforms to simplify the process as well as save money in development. The MKS has a good seating position in back as it is raised and easy to get in and out. It does have some detail assembly quality areas that can be improved and should be at a high level anyway given the price premium over the Ford Taurus.

I can see a lot of german cars every day in my Town.They are pretty common in here.Some of them are the top versions, with V8's like Audi A8 or BMW 5 and 7 series. But i'm really disappointed that American brand like Chevrolet or Ford are selling almost only European market vehicles, it would be great to see some F-150's, Suburbans or even Impala's on Polish streets.I'm sure that people would buy them instead of a lot more expensive German cars.Keep the great work Kyle, and thanks for the reply!

Agreed. My 5 yr old CTS has been very reliable but five years later and only 40K on the odo it is showing some age cosmetically. Little things like trim blemishes and such, a lose piece of cladding, a loose switch bezel. Still I got the car, loaded, for little more than a song back on the cusp of the recession and before GM melted down. So no complaints!

I must say, this is by far one of the most stunning vehicles GM has ever produced! Real quality leather and wood everywhere! Perhaps a first for Cadillac. The only thing keeping it from being on the same level as the Germans is the underpowered V-6 engine on that FWD platform! Plus the CUE system is rather unrefined compared to other cars with infotainment systems. But overall, this is the best GM vehicle in terms of luxury, but not sport and performance. :-)

I think Cadillac faces the most competition since its going against BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc. And tbisr are all luxury car brands that have cemented their name well in the market. But I think they'll do well with these new batch of Cadillacs.

It should have been a RWD car like the CTS, but once we get used to that bizarre short front end it becomes a splendid luxury car. Interior materials are awesome, eventhough those configurable digital gauges look too fake. Much better on 'enhanced' mode, looks like some futuristic concept car instead. Nice review once again, congrats!

As I understand it, MKS and XTS are the competitors. CTS, I think, would be a closer competitor to the MKZ. However, since the CTS covers a much broader price range and has V8 availability and rear wheel drive, it makes it somewhat harder to place. The MKZ is the first of the Lincoln's re-designed models that Ford hopes will invigorate and re-establish the Lincoln brand. That's my understanding.

Only thing that would be irritating to me is the touch buttons for stuff like ac/heat. It can get pretty chilly here in Indiana. And I want to wear gloves while driving but I wouldn't be able to adjust that without taking one off
