A person would connect the sounds of & watching trains would be relaxing, but, it really is! i stumbled across a short video on cable television one night and laughed "who watch s this"?!? (there was nothing on cable worth watching). Thought I'd entertain it for a few minutes. Well, 15 minutes turned into 45minutes. I got into it. Relaxing. I'm glad I found more great videos on KZbin channel. Thanks for sharing. ☺

Love this...like being along for the ride! It really helps me to sleep, as I tend to have sleep difficulties. Soooo relaxing and love the train/track sounds...not to mention the gorgeous scenery. Kind of reminds me of the beautiful scenery of my Canada...and in British Columbia....minus the Canadian Rockies, of course. ;) ....My late Father used to work for the Canadian National Railway (CNR), as a track man. He was with CN for 36 years (1951-1987). After all that time with them and health issues later in life, he retired. He said he did not want to go through one more Winter...and our Winters were brutally cold back then, so could not blame him...lol .....Because of being born into a rail family, I always love to see and hear trains...especially the train horns. It's a shame that many communities don't allow for the horns (guess it disturbed a few)...I just think of my wonderful Dad whenever I hear the horn or see the train. Makes me smile and all the beautiful and fun memories of him ( and Mom), come flooding back. So for there to be this wonderful video, is immensely appreciated! Of course, it would help if I could stay awake for the whole ride...only have seen the beginning, parts along the way, and the end part.Suppose the video has done it's job, as it relaxes me VERY much! ;) ......Thank you...and I will be sure to check out the other 3 seasons of this trip. Cheers and hugs from British Columbia! Perhaps someday, I will go on that train trip in Norway...BEAUTIFUL country! :)

Thank you for your nice comments, Trina. :) Yes, here in British Columbia, the train rides are real awesome...not to mention the diverse, spectacular terrain and scenery...especially while going through the majestic Canadian Rockies. Someday I hope to take a ride on the world famous Rocky Mountaneer train. It is all done during the daylight, so passengers can see all the beauty in the dome cars. The train goes from Vancouver through the Rockies, to Alberta...and also north, through to Jasper way. I believe they are talking about a route along the coast of B.C., as well as into Washington state....Those may be running now, but not sure and will have to look into that. Anyway, I just love trains, with their rich history and how they opened up new frontiers, in the building of our nations. :)

Ultimate video of all time - nearly 10 hours at full 1080p of the most stunning scenery (especially after the Arctic Circle), natural sound and no editing at all. Not easy to do and it's also a dangerous trip: over 100kph in wilderness where there could be an avalanche, rock falls or animals on the track soon after it had been inspected.
@Luredreier7 жыл бұрын
Eh, the railroad tracks is among the better protected parts of the country. An avalance just there is unlikely to happen when the train is there. And no, animals are not all that likely to end up there either, and if they do it's they and not the train that would be harmed. It's a perfectly safe train journey unless an avalance or rockslide happens somewhere that's considered low risk and therefore don't have protections installed near the railway... That or a truck getting a engine failure while passing the tracks or some such... Basically you'd need some really low probability events to take place to be in danger on this route. It can happen, but it's just bloody rare.

terratec1001 I can confirm that it was signalerrors at Berggrav station that day, so the driver got permition from the trafficcontroller to pass the signal!
@dageekywon6 жыл бұрын
From what I understand of their signalling system, the first red (the single headed signal) is one that tells the driver what the next (absolute) signal indication is going to be, which is why he starts slowing from that point. The next signal (two headed) is the "official" signal which he had to stop at, either because its the second indication, or for some other reason. I thought "flashing red" was a warning that the next signal would be solid red, which requires a stop, but this one kind of confused me. I guess if you see a flashing red then another flashing red, you have to stop then proceed restricted as well. I'm used to the USA where you get a green/yellow/red or something restricting that allows for passing before the actual red.
