I know you have to have someone request the reaction but just for yourself you should listen to "resist and bite" from sabaton and then check out their history Channel for the back story, its obscure badass history. Also "no bullets fly" will make you cry, I don't care who you are!

They didn't really "fight their way through". They were commanded to keep advancing into German territory, to the point where their flanks were totally exposed because the french troops were too exhausted and busy fighting to keep advancing. At some point they realized that they are basically alone, because they started seeing and hearing German soldiers behind them at which point they captured a mostly abandoned fort and basically just sat there until the Germans noticed them. No one really knew where they were. The Germans started attacking them and after a while threw elite troops, known as "Stormtroopers" at them with artillery and everything. This went on for a few days, with them having less and less ammunition, men that could fight, and morale. At some point allied artillery started reaching them and bombed them, togheter with the German artillery, because they still didn't really know where exactly they are. They managed to sent a message via a pigeon to allied HQ, basically saying "Stop bombarding us" with their coordinates. Allied troops pushed through to them and rescued them. At that point they were pretty close to being overrun by German toops, which they were a few times, resulting in brutal hand to hand combat. They also were given the opportunity to surrender, but they denied. They would never comply. they would rather die.

"It's a Company of soldiers..." Staring at the name of the song 🤐🤐🤐 Squad roughly 8-12 soldiers. Platoon made up of squads roughly 30 soldiers. Company made up of platoons roughly 150 soldiers. Battalion made up of companies.... And that's just a start...

It was 575 soldiers of Liberty division. 194 walked away unscathed, the other 380 were wounded, dead, captured of missing. 90% of the battalion from NYC were Italian, Polish, Irish and Jewish immigrants.

This is a fantastic story as others have said and the movie is a must watch but just to the east of them the buffalo soldiers were doing the same thing. An all black(outside the officers) unit, which idk why they don't mention it in the lost battalion move but we're on their flank holding a hill to their right. Their is also a movie about them but I can't remember the name ATM.

Lol! Hardly. Like Joakim says, "If you're bothered by this, you have a problem with history, not us".
