"Warszawo walcz!" means "Warsaw fight!" in polish. Sabaton have many songs related to Poland (Uprising, 40:1, Winged Hussars, Inmate 4859, Aces in Exile, The Final Solution, Union). Greetings from Poland :D

I'm neither polish or Swedish (I'm danish). But its no secret that Sabaton is big in sweden, but are HUGE in Poland. Taken from Sabatons homepage. "Sabaton has strong ties with the country and bandmembers were even awarded honorary citizenship for their work highlighting the brave deeds of Poles during World War II." Sabaton have their own history channel, where they together with a Historian (Indy Neidell), where they talk about the story behind their songs. kzbin.info/door/aG4CBbZih6nLzD08bTBGfw And you should really either react to it before/after the song, or watch on your own. You will not be disappointed with that channel.

From Sweden. Is Sabaton big in Poland...? The concert you watched. - There was between 500.000 and 750.000 people in the audience. Next Ghost Division from the same concert and you will see the whole Polish audience rock to a song about a German panzar division. That is how big Sabaton is in Poland. In 40:1 they have the biggest Polish flag I have ever seen rolled out over a huge part of the audience.

Their songs are about act of heroism during the war, regardless the nation, this one is about the resistance of Varsaw people during the Nazi occupation.

I'm swedish and Sabaton are one of my favourite bands. They are modern metal bards. :D Telling us about events from history with their music, without getting involved politcally or taking sides. Some of their songs are from a particular point of view but it's from the interest of storytelling.

A couple of years ago Sabaton said they wanted to be the next "Stadium band" when bands like Metallica and Iron maiden retired. At the time I didn´t think it was possible. They could maybe fill indoor stadiums but a big football stadium...no way. But now I think it´s not that impossible, they have really grown in popularity the last couple of years. It´s also very clever to have songs telling stories about all this different countries that the crowd can connect with

The crowd screams “Warszawo Walcz!” Which means Warsaw Fight! But Warsaw is in the vocative case, so Warsaw has a personal, almost Human Identity. Think the spirit of the city, it’s soul.

The Russians were at the doors of Warsaw ready to Liberate it. The resistance uprised. The Russians stopped and let the Germans kill the resistance knowing they would be the biggest challenge to the Soviets taking over Poland. They finally became free due to Solidarity. Talk about help that never came. The Brits and US offered to do air drops to help the resistance but the Soviets refused. PS. Check out Sabaton's History Channel

Nah. Sabaton isn't big in Poland. That show from 2012 at Przystanek Woodstock (Pol and rock festival) gathered only 700.000 people :D It's like the second biggest city in Sweden or in Poland that came to see them as Joackim - the singer said during the show. I was there and after even bigger song called 40:1 those people sang polish anthem. They were heard few kilometers apart in town of Kostrzyn nad Odrą (german spelling Kostrin Oder). I HAVE NEVER experienced something even similar. To cover that you need to watch this kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYTKdX2OgqicepY
