The saddest part is, this show had a potential interesting idea around why a secret agent would need to be a stripper. She could have a super cheap secret agency that she works for because she wants to do good things but is paid close to nothing. However, being a secret agent is really time consuming and a part-time job or office job isn’t really possible for her so she had to become a stripper to make ends meet. They could also have a theme about how she needs to ‘sell out’ in a sense in order to continue doing what she loves. They could use her as a metaphor to talk about the balance of artistic integrety and control. The cons of stripping (selling out) is doing a job looked down on in society but it allows her to be a super hero. That’s just a quick thought but the point is if that’s what I could come up with in 5 minutes from just the idea “secret agent stripper,” the studio had no excuse to make something so dull.

It sounds like it lacked FOCUS. Totally Spies had wacky nonsense villains, but it kept the theme of the girls being cartoon spies. Every episode they had gadgets, "spy suits," where briefed on their mission by a secret organisation... Batman the animated series had weird villains, but Batman went out to fight bad guys in costumes with wacky superpowers and/or motifs... But Stripperella? She's a vigilante superhero... Ok... She had gadgets... But it feels like it was neither written as a super-hero / super-villain nor like a spy show. You REALLY liked Cheapo... But I dare say it's because he behaves like a cartoon super-villain and LOOKS like a cartoon super-villain. His suit looks inspired by Enigma's, one of Batman's super-villains. He has his own gimmick. And you could make a joke about a cheap-o not being able to afford a stripper or prostitute. The rest... don't *look* like super-hero super-villains. And they don't seem grand enough to be like spy super-villains. And the worst. They don't seem to play well with Stripperella. Bear with me here. Each villain in Batman has a thing which makes it a nemesis to Batman. Two faces was about the duality of choice, like what Batman faces every day. The Scarecrow was about creating fear, which Batman did in a smaller scale by using a bat as his symbol and making himself a sort of "invisible threat that looms in the night" for every common criminal out there. Doctor Freeze does anything he can to get money to treat his wife, which Batman might have done if he could have frozen his parents... Bane is a mixture of intelligence and brutality powered by studies and drugs, basically Batman if he was evil and used drugs... That one villain that everyone knows is a hysterical and whimsical laughing asshole, which contrasts Batman's personality as a serious and dedicated character. Stipperella's villains have jokes, but most of them don't sound like they clash with Striperella's personality or motif. Even Totally Spies usually featured a villain co-related to what Alex, Clover and Sam were living in their personal lives right before they fought them. Basically... The villains were the best part, which should have been used to make Stripperella a better character, to get us to know about Striperella... At least that's what it sounds like. I haven't watched this.

I definitely agree that the biggest downfall of Striperella was Striperella herself. If they gave her more of a personality this show would have worked a lot better. I kind of want to know how she got into stripping and what her views on things like sexism and femmenism are. I think that it'd be a lot more dynamic if they made her....I guess more sympathetic towards the villains, seeing as how a lot of people probably misjudge her as being lazy or a bad person because she's a stripper. What are her other ambitions in life? Was she a stripper first or a secret agent first? What's her family life like? Do they know she's a stripper? Are they supportive or is she hiding it from them? Did her parents get killed and thats why she's a secret agent? Did she ever go to college or finish highschool? Does she have friends outside of the ladies she works with?

Yes, we once had building just full of copiers. Where you would make your own copies for like, 3 cents each. I would probably assume Disney. Since Stripperella would be marvel given she is made by Stan Lee, the Disney Company might be the only place I can think of where she is today. After all, Disney bought out Marvel, so it's safe to assume that would be the most logical place to look. Then again I'm not 100% sure if Striperella is part of the Marvel Universe, just because she was created by Stan Lee doesn't mean she is in the marvel world. Though I guess we never got the chance for a cross over, so who knows. Though speaking of rebooting, I was playing with the idea of making my own interpretation of Stripperella of a reboot. Though I would have to go the comic route because marvel style. I have some ideas for reworking her by giving her a back story and an origin on how she became stripperella, as well as replacing certain characters and maybe tone down the rauntchy humor somewhat. Still, as someone who is watching this show on dailymotion (Berceuse I have to buy it on amazon and I ain't doing that) it's not as bad as some people say it is. I think it's funny, and I really like the voice acting and the character designs. The villain's really stand out, especially Cheapo. I think it could really soar if it had better stories and plot.

Marvel themselves wasn't involved with the making of Stripperella. While the copyrights clearly state that MTV Networks (who actually owned Spike TV before the rebrand to Paramount Network) own both the series & character. So yeah if anyone is going to reboot the series, it's Paramount Global themselves. Unless of course Disney ends up buying them of course.

The first part of the animation was commission in Thailand, I used to work there translate stuffs for animator to work... they move from our company due to some change in budget. I remember they hired some stripper to dance for animator to learn the movement and I have to translate how to dance for the stripper too. Animation are normally on 4 - 8 FPS but the dance animation spread sheet can be really complicate. Ah I missed those days working in the industry XD.

I feel like a stripper superhero story could really work well, if done correctly. My idea is that the strip club in question is a front by a crime fighting agency, and all of the strippers, management and other staff are crime fighters. The club is an intel collecting operation, and a way for the organization to make money in a way that allows the organization to operate independently of the government. Episodes focus on the criminals who hang out in the club, and the lives of the various employees in the club.

Honestly, the idea of a superhero stripper is pretty interesting enough to be "rebooted" but taking a different approach and direction with a bit more story-driven content to make it less of a "raunchy R rated totally spies" and more of a really cool and lewd hero saving the people (and animals). I do have a concept on the back-burner of an asexual who works in the sex industry dealing with her asexuality in relation to her hypersexualised persona as a sex worker, and dealing with her romantic attractions to other characters and expectations of sex within romance. I think an asexual superhero who's daytime persona as a stripper would be pretty damn cool, who's comfortable in her own skin and rather witty about it too, and of course being immune to seduction from a villain during an interrogation as a bonus. I think I'd like to write a story like that one, tbh

Honestly, you probably want to go the Kekko Kamen route for a Striperella reboot. Let me say why: a hero who fights wearing a mask, and only the mask, and distracts people with her body, but her two weaknesses are that she never wants her face revealed to protect her civilian identity (there's another reason but it's a spoiler), and if her opponent isn't attracted to women, she has to go to plan B and actually have a fair fight with her admittedly awesome fighting moves. Kekko Kamen also doesn't take itself entirely seriously and gently mocks the genre it parodies (wrestling superheroes), so having a not-too-serious secret agent version of that... It could work! It really really could!
