If The Goofy Movie acted as a early-mid 90s time capsule, then this one acted as a time capsule for the late 90s-early 2000s with all of the “extreme sports” stuff going on with the story.

It's been speculated that it was Goofy that forgot the lesson of the first movie instead of Max, while he's not happy his dad's at college, Max is also understanding and reasonable once he hears that Goofy was fired and needs to get his degree, Max also right from the start lays down some ground rules which Goofy agrees to. However Goofy immediately forgets the whole conversation, that he's supposed to be there to get his degree, does his smothering dad thing and it messes with Max's college life, while Max could've given his dad a proper goodbye instead of running right out the door(which fortunately they do get that goodbye hug at the end) but Goofy shouldn't have dragged Max into his empty nest syndrome. Sidenote: i love that they show Goofy can throw down against Bradley when they give him trouble and talk smack about Max(remember when he got straight up pissed when he learned Max changed the map?) Goofy ain't playing.

I love "An Extremely Goofy Movie!" Hell on some level I like it better than the first one! And like you'd expect one of my favorite characters from this movie was Sylvia Marpole! Not only was she one of the best Furry Waifu's of her time, But Bebe Bebe Neuwirth's performance of the character was absolutely legendary!!!

I remember hating Max in this movieand legitimately wanting to punch him in theface for the way he acted towards Goofy. While he does have a point on Goofy being too clingy towards him, he gets pissed at Goofy for unwittingly outperforming himwhen HE was the one who wanted him to join the Gammas in the first place socould get an easy win over his competition. He took advantage of Goofy's good-natured attitude and tried to use to his advantage and got what he deserved for it. And also,he had the nerve and audacity to think that Goofy was trying to trick him when he warned him about the Gammas cheating in the contest. And I agree, there's so much more they could have done with Max and Goofy in this movie rather than just reusing the same plot from the previous movie and erasing all of the character development that both of them got. I think it would have been more interesting Max starts to worry about still being part of Goofy's life once his startsdating Sylvia and worries about Sylvia possibly taking priority over him. With allthe time he spent trying to get away from Goofy, he begins to realizes that he misses him and needs him more than he knew and this possibly starts to affect his performancein the X-Games as well. However, Goofy reassures his son that he has a spot in his heart and his life that nobody can ever in the X-Games as well. However, Goofy reassures his son that he has a spot in hisheart and his life that nobody can evertake from him and Max likewise returns thegesture. Maybe Roxanne could make an appearance well or at least show thatshe stills stays in touch with Max when hegoes off to college, showing that they'restill talking if not dating (I personally preferthe latter because Max and Roxanne arefreaking adorable together)

The movie is ok BUT not very original; Max and Goofy are arguing like in the first one, this time Goofy has a girlfriend isntead of his son... and their relation was too quick (She invite him on a date one minute AFTER they met) The sport competition is not as important as a father-son relation and it's not as cool as Powerline concert. The bullies are lame and not interresting; there's nothing about their past or hobbies, their families etc. The ONLY scene i like is the disco one even if there's randoms characters dancing in 3D. At least, the ambiance is fun and the music is good 😀Goofy and the librarian are stylish with their costumes. If i have to rate it, i give the film a 6|10. Not fun like the fist movie but not boring either. It's alright.

So, I was thinking (too seriously) about a third movie to make this a trilogy. And it has to be Max (with Roxanne) becoming a father and Goofy becoming a grandfather. And it'd be called "A New Goofy Movie" (cause there's a new Goof!), or if Disney would only allow a short film "A Tiny Goofy Movie" (cause baby)!
