I don´t know if he plays "Much" Better in a small kit, but as for people who said that he is good only for his big kits this proves that he is a good drummer in any type of drum kit. By the way see or listen Zeppelin Tribute "Hammer of The Gods". He plays in a replica of Bonzo Classic Kit with a single pedal. Mike did an amazing tribute to bonzo playing perfect all the Zeppelin Tunes and he did an amazing version of Moby Dick.

You see that 3rd pedal on the left of the hihat pedal at 1:20? Thats a remote pedal, it sends some kind of signal to the hi hats and closes them.

no sabian is a cymbal only company. Pearl, tama, dw and mapex all make remote hats although they are pretty expensive
