in my eyes the best was Shane Douglas, the first guy to carry the company
@scottruth14148 жыл бұрын
You don't know much about the company then, It existed before WWE told you about it, here in Philly. Tony Stetson and the TWA/EASTERN Championship Wrestling crew, carried the company.
@KennyKendall20018 жыл бұрын
Yes, Shane was a believable champion. Douglas could wrestle, could brawl and do hardcore, was great on the mic and looked and carried himself like a champion. He was the originator of the shoot style interview which in the long run, was a lot more important than breaking tables. How many people would have thrown down the NWA World Title belt? It took a lot of balls to do that and in doing so Douglas put ECW on the map.

It's funny that Sabu mentioned WCW creative rejecting his ideas of doing things with Sting & Hulk Hogan. I remember Steve Austin saying the same thing in his ECW promo. I was a huge WCW fan growing up & was devasted when they went out of business, but now that I'm grown up & know what went behind the scenes, I can see why they went out of business: being stubborn about their ways, neglecting young talent & rejecting great ideas that could be a huge bebefit to the company.
