I bumped into Liam on a Berlin st. He was alone with his son. Before we spoke I must have stared at him for a couple of seconds trying to take it all in and process that it was him I was actually seeing. I have to say the guy is almost always ready for it. He'd already sized me up and was staring me out within milliseconds of our eyes locking from a short distance. Not knowing what to say I asked "You alright?" He replied "Yeah. Are YOU alright?" all the while giving me a death stare. I then told him I'd seen his gig the night before and after that it was almost like a mask came off him and he was the loveliest guy ever. Very approachable and humble. He showed a genuine interested in me and my Mrs. Stopped for a chat and photos.

That’s total crap, I met him in the 90’s when he was ‘supposed’ to be his most arrogant, and he was a great laugh!!! He was walking about in Glastonbury festival, having a joke etc with people. I remember my mate was drunk- fell over in front of him (we didn’t even notice him) and he picked her up from the ground. Got us into the VIP area later and got drunk(er) with us!!

It's sad, Liam has been the cause of his own demise. He is a nice guy in various ways, great with the fans, actually better than Noel in that respect. Though Liam's insecurities & anger issues have caused so much friction that until he gets that together, Oasis will not be returning.

He somewhat became a caricature of his own behavior (hence the parody of him in the movie) while Noel now is hailed as some kind of elder statesman. If you look back for example and watch footage of him trying to attack photographers after his son's birth - he looks ridiculous, never actually punching them but with big bodyguards and spouting homophobic insults at them. Back then that somehow gave him a cool aura, now it's just pathetic. He believed his own rock star hype.

Gotta feel bad for him a bit though. He's just a lost soul who doesn't really know who he really is. He's played the character for so long that that's just him - even though it isn't if that makes sense. He said back n 94 one of his biggest struggles is being himself. One interview he can be completely different to the next. He's more emotional than he lets on as well. Fascinated by the guy to be honest, never seen anything like it

One of my mates was working on security for Oasis in the 90's and spent a lot of time 'protecting' Liam from his own mouth. His team got sick of his antics and having to get him out of scraps on a daily basis until he pushed it too far in Germany and they all stood back for a moment or two allowing him just enough time to get smacked in the mouth before diving in to save him again. A very satisfying night apparently as he was a proper prick at the time. The funny and interviewable Liam has been carefully concocted since then to the point that he is now a caricature of himself.

I will just say this, Liam Gallagher is actually a very decent guy, the last time I spoke to him was at O`Hare Airport Chicago. Liam took time out to talk to fans and was very friendly. He is in my book a very good guy who really does not want to be treated like a rock star.
