The way Tim just looks away when Eric asks where the TV is seriously feels like one of those bad dreams where you’re the only one aware that something is wrong and you can’t get through to anyone. It’s very similar to having dreams where your punches feel like spaghetti noodles and you’re running as fast as you can but are barely moving. Just like in bad dreams, Eric seems to be the only person aware of the bizarre nature of his surroundings and this dread is multiplied exponentially at the end of this episode when his own family also urges him to get in the grave. The last people he expected, his family, turn on him for seemingly no reason in true nightmare fashion.
