😂 once cut into centimeters and cooked over high heat and dried out a bit, the bones get soft in the middle of the meat and the ones near the skin turns crispy. I really couldn’t even feel a single bone in my mouth. Bomb ass way of cooking it

Alex! i met you last year while u were flying your drone on the other side of the river. I had a house on Garden last year and was killing the salmon off the dock. approx 3.5 miles up river from chevys. how far up are you here? have u caught any salmon out back here?

I havent had any luck on Sac river this year. Got 2 on the feather last month though. Miller park has been hot lately. My buddy hooked into one that broke his pole haha.

You should’ve used that pikeminnow as bait. It’s perfectly legal to use pikeminnow and sacramento splittail as bait in the delta and it’s tributaries as long as they’re not transported as they must be used in the water they were caught in. Same applies for bluegills. There are no limits or restrictions on the harvesting of pikeminnows but for splittail you may only keep 2 per day although they’re still legal to use as bait live.

Fishing with Alex Saeteurn Yeah, I’m in no rush bro. I started my channel for fun & to leave something for my kids when I’m no longer around. For a minute I started falling into the “I gotta make another video” bullshi+ & lost focus of what truly matters. The pressure felt very real as subs & comments starting pouring in. Yes the fishing is fun , the cooking is fun & it was a great way for me to practice editing video, but it wasn’t what I started my channel for in the first place. Btw Are you using Final Cut Pro now

Big Shticks I feel ya. Subs come even tho I have not ask yet. I told myself that if it blows up then it does. When I can make a living off of it is when I’ll feel the need to push myself. Reason why I have only 3 videos in the last 2 1/2 months. It’s really fun making them as I have no experience in editing. All self taught and I feel I may have maxed out my creativity through iMovie. Been thinking about final cut so it could happen, eventually 😂

No. I usually don’t use it and I can still catch a limit. If the water clarity is really clear like at the American river then you’ll definitely need it. On the sac river, it’s pretty stained so just a dart will do. If you’re on a boat and you plan to sit and wait for a bite then a curly tail grub is what I’ll use

Good question. I had to use a 10oz for this day because that was all I had. Preferably 6oz would be best. Try fishing in areas that doesn’t have rocks. I say Broderick boat launch across from discovery park is a good place

I say use any rod that is either med heavy or heavy. 8’ to 11’ ft in length and can handle up to 6 or 8 oz pyramid weights. There are those nice sandy coves with less current so a 8’ med heavy rod and a 3oz weight will do the job when you’re fishing up close
