Hobbling animals through their noses, is insanely cruel and dreadful for their health. It affects their balance, sense of smell often, hearing in the ear in line with the ring/rope, taste and a plethora of other things indirectly. Camels are terribly sensitive fellows so the removal of the nose rope would cause her to stumble and quite possibly cause headaches for a while. Thank the Gods for people like this woman who have enough substance to go out and help these poor souls, HUGE hugs from Susan@M.Lehane.💜🐪💜🇦🇺

I can't believe they would do that to a pregnant camel and one that had just delivered. Let alone do it in the first place. That's so awful. And to put the lead through her poor nose.. omg. That's just heartbreaking. Thanks for rescuing them both and showing them that not all people are so evil. ❤

Thank you to the rescuers! Btw, these are DROMEDARIES (not Camels). Camels have 2 humps. Different species.
@mmds-pc9swАй бұрын
Thanks for your post. Had not heard before, and inspired me research. Found out that are two different species in the genus Camelus. Wild Bactrian camel in China and Mongolia have two humps, and domesticated dromedary camel in North Africa and Middle East, and ferals in Australia, have one hump. Both seem to be very intelligent aware species. So so glad this mama and her baby were rescued.
@connywolfram8305Ай бұрын
@mmds-pc9sw Sometimes a dromedary is called "Arabian Camel" - that's where the mix-up comes from I think. Because dromedaries have only that one hump they are said to be faster (but need to stop more often for replenishing the water than 🐫 camels).
@mnomadvfxАй бұрын
That's like saying a bobcat is not a lynx. It's still a camel. The genus of all 3 species (including the 1x single humped and 2x dual humped) is literally called "camelus". The origin of the word "dromedary" is from the Greek "dromas kamelos", which just means "running camel".
@mnomadvfxАй бұрын
@@mmds-pc9sw The "wild Bactrian camel" is a different species from the domesticated Bactrian camelhaving diverged from a common ancestor about 1 million years ago. Both species have 2 humps. The former resembles the overall appearance of the dromedary except with 2 humps, while the latter has a lot of fur/hair on much of its body. When they call it "wild" they mean that most/all individuals of the species are found in the wild, as supposed to a feral which is an individual of a domesticated species left to survive in the wild, or wild individuals descended from domesticated species. So there are 3 species of camel in total: Wild Bactrian camel, Bactrian camel and dromedary*. *from French "dromedaire", shortened from Greek "dromas kamelos", which means "running camel" in English.
