Sad Sedan News For Lexus

We love sedans - and we love our LS430. But it looks like the end of the high-end sedan for Lexus. It's what NOT new for 2024 that gives us doubt.

I've seen temps as low as -40C/F (without wind-chill, and -40 is where the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales cross) in Ontario, so -23C is nothing. The noise is the tires on the snow. You won't get any heat until the engine warms up, so leave it in auto and turn the temp to as high as it goes. Also, use the seat heaters. I used to have 1966 Volkswagen Beetle that was air cooled and provided very little heat. I used to have to scrape the inside of the windshield while driving! Now that I am older I have started to hate the cold, so that is why my wife and I are spending the winter in Panama!

Just bought my 2002 Lexus LS 430 with 170,000km before Christmas here in BC. Absolutely love the vehicle, much more than my 2016 Lexus RX 350. Love your regular updates on your LS. Talking about the cold weather, we've been dealing with frigid temperatures in BC as well.

I don't remember we saw 0 in my life in Dubai and I'm 40 years old, but saw -8 in Amsterdam and it was painful. I'm surprised why you don't use diesel in this harsh climate!!!

Be aware that SUVs/Crossovers are considered " Trucks" for the purpose of safety standards which means they do not have to meet the same standards as passenger cars...and they don't! Manufacturers LOVE to produce them because, believe it or not, are CHEAPER to build. People think they're safer because they're bigger ( and it pleases manufacturers ) but that is not true.

I had a is250 as a loaner when I got new tires put on my ls430 it felt cheap in comparison to the 430. Plastic everywhere fake wood, loud engine, loud seat fans, just didn’t feel even close to as luxurious

Several months ago I bought a 2004 LS430 with 130,000 on it. Best car I've ever owned! Absolutely love it!
