I have friends in Singapore who could speak in Tamil. I had seen Sikhs speaking Tamil in Chennai as well. We can see the Gurdwara not just in Chennai but remote places like Rameshwaram and almost every part of the world. When come to interacting with other races, we Tamils have much to learn from Sardars.

watching this made my day... i m loving this video.... thanks a lot to the person who made it and uploaded it. from the bottom of my heart i thank you sir.... very very happy to see that people from north are loving to stay in Chennai... It was true that it depends on the person and the people we live, and our compatibility to get accustomed to the new place. It is our willingness to adapt the new culture. This video is a contradictory example of the regular thought that north people cannot adjust in south and south people cannot adjust in north. Willing to see another video stating the experiences of people from south staying in north..... FRIENDS LETS REMOVE THESE NONSENSE REGIONAL BARRIERS AND BE UNITED AS INDIANS.....!!!!

Tamilian here, am sorry to say that I faced some very rude, racist and arrogant Punjabis at California during my project stint there. They would call me kallu, madrasi, idliwala and would tease me for watching tamil movies on the laptop. The only place where I felt respected was at the Gurdwara where I frequented often to enjoy some delicious Punjabi cuisine. My cousin worked at Chandigarh for a year or so, and his experience was no different to mine. But one thing I must admit, when it comes to helping others, there is none better than that community. No wonder there are no beggars in Punjab.
