We have left the city of Baghdad and travelled to BABYLON!!! Now we all know the Babylon blue gates and being able to visit here was such a special moment for us, We also checked out Saddam Hussein's abandoned Palace which has pretty much been looted and vandalised but is still spectacular, we also made a lot of friends which seems to be common in our trip around the country!

She said she did not recognize it (we lived there decades ago), and when I looked it up on Wikipedia, it says it was built by an Ottoman governor in the late 19th century. I also hope that you will demand that Saddam Hussein's palace be turned into a museum and not be left to this neglect and indifference on the part of the government.
