Sorry for not posting for a while ! I explained in my last community post ❤️ I am home in Scotland still …. I don’t have Arabic subtitles for this .. if you open you tube in Chrome browser you can find Arabic option…. I think this is my 71st vlog in Iraq, and I paid a native Arabic speaker to translate all my vlogs , I had a couple of volunteers towards the end , but I think they realized just how long it took and didn’t want to do it anymore… so apologies in advance! I still miss Iraq hugely and will be back in a few months !! Definitely! I'm from neighboring country Iran, never have been in Iraq, never met an Iraqi in person, but thanks to your videos now I've learned many things about the country and its people! now it is very hard to imagine that we used to be in war with this nation for more than 8 years! I myself born mid Iran-Iraq war, and the first thing I've learned about Iraq wasn't very positive and that stuck in my mind for long time, of course later I've learned that the people of Iraq were victims of the circumstances as well, but now I'm feel even closer toward them. I was there in 2006/2007 during the british occupation, the building you were in was indeed our cookhouse altho the entire palace grounds was a large military forward operating base. Most of the buildings accross the bridge were used as accommodation for the troops. And the large building accross the water from the museum was the battalion HQ. Amazing to see the place renovated! it was very run down with the scars of rocket and mortar hits all over the grounds during my time there...
