@Tom ten, don't give up living! I seriously considered taking my life several times. I still have the last note I wrote for my then wife just to remind me how wrong it would have been. That was back in 09', about four years after I stopped riding. Was never happy afterwards. Being alone on a bike listening to that motor talk to you and eating up miles is good for a man's soul. When you heal enough, get a trike if you can and get back with it! You are no doubt a Broken Bones Club member and you have bragging rights. Good luck to you friend!

No U-Haul will follow your hearse to the cemetery. I never heard of a man on his death bead saying that he had spent more time at work. At the end of your life, your score is not a bunch of numbers with a $ in front of them. The wealthiest people I've known had the largest funerals with the people who loved them. Time with my family has always been more important to me than the size of my paycheck. I fell in love with motorcycles when I was a kid and started riding when I was 14 years old. I haven't stopped riding and now that I'm retired, I'm riding more than ever. I'm fortunate that I can go in any direction from my house and ride two-lane roads in the mountain twisties without ever having to get on the interstate, even though I live within 5 minutes of it. No two rides are ever alike. These videos only reinforce my feelings for riding. Thanks! Keep them coming. The music is great. You make me smile!

I hear the road calling me back. I hear the sound of a Harley dresser running about 65 m.p.h. for hours before lying down on my sleeping bag in some park in some state for an hour or two, then on I go for some hours before stopping for the night. It's been a joyful 5 to 8 hundred mile ride!

@@carmineredd1198 Yeah but only if your trip lasts for a single day because after those 800 miles on a hayabusa, your wrists and back are done for the next week lol. The American dream is indeed often just chasing the wind. In many ways it may really be better to stop chasing and simply ride with it side by side. I too have that ramblin' bone, but for now my obligations hold me. That won't always be the case. One day my daughter may tire of us moving about every few years, as the spouse and I do. Our last jaunt took us from Kansas City Missouri, to the Arizona Valley. Might be here a little while. I like the valley a lot. I do think it's funny that most of us I encounter are in fact military vets. Spouse and I both are too. We're too old to fight now. But that don't mean the adventure stops. You both are lookin' great by the way. Take care of yourselves out there.
