It is so true, earning people's gratitude and love by lifting them up costs a fraction of the cost of what the USA spends on killing people and exploiting the poor in smaller countries. Caring assistance would be a far more powerful way to strengthen "national security," while earning people's justifiable hatred creates enemies for the USA. It is such an incomprehensible tragedy to witness the violence and inhumanity US citizens are promoting and accepting, in the erroneous belief that world domination through oppression somehow serves them at the expense of others. To become an election candidate you need to raise funds. Funds come from big companies which manufacture war equipment. So when the election candidate wins, he listens to those who funded his campaign (which are few with a few demands) not to those who gave him votes (which are many with many demands)
