I was raised catholic. The more abstinence lectures I had from church and religious education only become more curious to find out what it was like. Honestly! It just works that way like what’s so wonderful about it since it’s forbidden? And I’ve heard “good girls don’t do that”. “They wait for marriage”. This sets people up for unrealistic expectations and if you don’t want young people to engage in such behaviors, then forbidding it is the best way to get them to do what you don’t want them to. It’s the truth.

Young people pushed into church/ christianity/ catholicism etc is in my opinion a bad idea. Young people have high amounts of energy and to deprive them of things can lead to an even worse person as they grow up. Just what i've seen. Maybe not a one size fits all but... yep.
