Also in Hinduism there are 4 ashrams in life.. 1) brahmacharya - student 2) grihastha- householder 3) vanaprastha- retired and 4) sanyasi- renunciate. To experience the joys of any one you have to fully live the other one . Most people these days are having affairs and live- in relationships( which I am not saying is bad) but they can not fully understand the value if you haven't felt the lack of it at any point of time .

I have read many comments on how Sadhguru does not directly answer the question is because “maybe” (*im not sure) he doesnt want to feed us directly the answer for the human to learn things we should understand that we need to use our common sense in a way we will be enlightend ourselves because it is inner work. Sadhguru done his part by giving words of wisdom and it is our part if we have the desire to understand or to be enlightned by our ownselves. Just right now people tend to be lazy even by using the function of our brain and just want to be fed by others.

In any relationship, married or not, you are always walking on egg shells, knowing that the relationship can end at any moment as soon as you fail to meet the expectations of your partner. You will not have an unconditional relationship with anyone. If you don’t perform as they wish you will be cut loose. Although you may have some good times, you can never be fully happy and never be free from the adverse influence of a partner. You can only be free and happy if you live alone.

I agree with everything, any imaginable alternative system seems inferior to the traditional family unit. However, what happens, if and when one partner spiritually outgrows the other? Is this even possible in young age marriages, when people have become like one personality?
@videvleo5 жыл бұрын
My friend spirituality is not a competition. One can only be at peace if his/her surrounding is also in the same state. A partner means you share your life with him/her but sadly nowadays people are dividing things between men and women even in case of marriages, before they marry they already decide what to share and divide in property if they ever split up. If this is the norm nowadays how can someone attain spirituality? This is why sadhguru said having one partner means you share everything with her.. your pain and joy, your economy your family also become hers/him and vice versa and so is the same case in spirituality if one is struggling then it is the partner duties to step up and help. Sadhguru also attributed the fact that since physical need of the human body need to be addressed then if he/she has one partner he/she will be able to attain spirituality faster as his/her basic needs are provided already he/she can concentrate on their work instead of looking for someone to mate. I hope this answers your question my friend.
