To be fair to both, on Sae's side, I'd be similarly annoyed by Rin's outburst at a slight change of motivation. Like dude, Sae can be the best midfielder in the world, and Rin can be the best striker. Sae can still be the best player, and Rin second-best. The resistance to such a minor pivot is crazy. On Rin's side, Sae saying he has no value and basically disowning him, that's such overkill.
