I've seen this before too. The way he doesn't back off even an inch after taking what felt like several mm of his pedal is madness. I guess that's what you have to do at that level to win a race by descending better than everyone else!

The perception of speed with this camera angle is definitely intensified. Tom is a unique rider in terms of skills, low weight, low center of gravity, I'd assume that in general his lines might be difficult to replicate by bigger riders in twitchy descents - quite a show!

Yes! I rode Tuna Canyon 4-5 times back in the ‘80s. It was two-way back then. Up and down it was ridiculous.
