WOW. Surely applaud and respect your choice to help and put yourself in harms way in the process. I ve heard how aggressive and potentially dangerous they are. They are more dense than water so don t naturally float like we do. That enables them to walk on the bottom as well as run when in defense mode and they can cover ground out running all craft but outboard equipped boats. In addition I ve heard of kayakers being pulled from their craft by large crocs. I wonder about paddling on rivers with populations of either with does not leave much as a choice.

It’s ironic the man bumped in the water by the hippo didn’t make it but the man viciously attacked multiple times did survive. I wonder if the other man knew how to swim. Animals aren't "bad." It's not like animals "turn to drugs and lives of crime." Hippos, in particular, are intelligent animals that defend their homes -- which is also what humans do, except worse. Humans attack and harm animals (and their habitats) EVERY DAY. Humans even do this to each other. ...If I were a hippo, I would also keep humans away.

It just don't seem to smart to canoe thru an area where there's a hippo that's attacked 7 people in a month. I mean at that point you've kinda earned that attack if it happens

Are you serious? Biology. Animal behavioral studies. Science. ...When a dog looks at its human and barks at an empty food bowl, do you think that's a total coincidence? Do you need to "ask" the dog to figure out what's happening? Animals aren't stupid.

What Evans should've done is moved with the current on top of the river instead of fighting it to get back onto A raft, By fighting the strong current to get back onto A raft was making Evans more tired and more weak that's why his body and heart gave up on him since he was so tired and weak Evans drowned. So if he just would've moved with or followed the strong current down stream on top of the river since he had A life jacket on he would've been fine.

Amazing - but what’s up with the river boat guide that didn’t know how to swim?
@G0dismabestfren
@G0dismabestfren 2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter how well you know how to swim if you get caught in water current, you have to know how to react and hope you can get out of It otherwise drowning is what happens. There are swimmers who still drown because they got caught in a current. Also I imagine given this situation with the hippo that man was even more panicked. I was wondering how come he did not have a floating vest on. If he swam with the current he would of had a chance. But it sounds like he was flailing all over
