Safes - Glass and Fusible Link Relocker - Access Security vs. Tann

I can see a serious flaw in safes which are prepared for dual custody but not fully outfitted. You should install a plate in place of the missing lock.

Who ever came up with the glass relocker really loved locks and safes . If a building caught fire with this set up , the glass being heat sensitive would crack up and lock that bad boy down . Would be some job to drill in and remove the pins , I’m sure the manufacturer would help steer . Thanks so much , I was always curious on how it worked . Very clever .

Yeah safe companies have drill points to provide to licensed safe technicians to drill out the relockers. Any safe can be opened good safes just take a lot longer.

This type glass relock mechanism was actually quite easy to bypass once I accidentally triggered one on a customers safe. Drill a hole a few inches below the lock and snag the cable with a custom made tool (a bit of coat-hanger wire) pulling the cable back through the hole until the bolt fully retracts. Ta da! 😉

​@@NoMercy-qd7os of course can be opened it. Do you read what I write? The easiest and fast way is to abuse the owner and he will open it so much faster than you with tools or a decoder. Maybe you a from the "country of Law" US and think that scenario is only in movies, but please come to my country Bulgaria, visit Turkey, Serbia or... Russia and you will see how things happen here when you receive a phone call from your son or daughter and he/her scream because ... someone already cut one of the fingers... Do not be rude to the people online, yes it is anonymous, but if you are rude here you will be and in Real Life, and soon or later you find someone who will put you in your place.
