Police officer: "Can you describe the bank robber for us?" Witness: " Well first he walked into the bank while spinning a basketball on fingers, then he proceeded to the security glass, which he shattered with his voice. After he got past the teller, he cracked open the main vault and then picked the security boxes open. After he got all of the money, he did a kick flip through the exit and switched vehicles. The last thing I saw was him doing a manual down the highway on a bicycle."

Try this with a S&G lock, they are considered high security dial locks. The opening gate isn't released until you physically push dial in at 0. So you get less rub on the gates as you use the dial. Edit: S&G = Sargent & Greenleaf
@bllfrg7773 жыл бұрын
Not all Sargent and Greenleaf locks are like that. The one you're describing is made specifically to stop this method from working. But the 6700 model, and pretty much any group 2 safe combination lock, will work the same as the one Mike just opened.

I'm sure Mike knows this, but for everyone else, there are a lot of ways they engineer expensive vault locks to defeat this type of attack. I think I remember them saying using some plastic pieces to reduce friction and keeping you from detecting the gate by not interacting with it until you have done the whole combination.

At 1:05 you can see the spline key inserted into LH (Left Hand) of the drive cam and then at 1:30 its in VD (Vertical Down) then again at 1:40 it's in RH (Right Hand). Most likely you had the correct combination but weren't turning far enough to the contact point of the nose because you had the key in the wrong position. I can't be the only one that noticed this!

From someone that understands these locks you done a brilliant job cracking it as looked like you didnt know these go in stages, rotation in oppisite direction resets disk infront as passes a point. There are different grade locks with times it should take to be able to crack them. Old locks 3 discs newer are 4 disc with false cutouts to misslead you. Great video. As excited as you were when you cracked it. 👍
