I think of the Led Zeppelin tune Black Mountain side.. Robert Plant fancied himself a reincarnated Welsh prince. Not sure if you felt like a Welsh Princess on this ride but you powered thru like a Queen! Great Video!

With your experience it's more like a hill pass than a mountain pass. I remember back in 1981 when I visited Scotland with my mother. We got out of the car and walked up one of the hills between Glenfarclas Distillery and Kyle of Lochalsh. We were amazed how all the people in mountaineering gear stared at us. Back then we needed to take a ferry to Isle of Sky. They surely had white sheep there - a lot of them. B&B all the way!

Great determination. Can't believe your luck with the road being closed at the time you visited. And you got so close and just missed a right turn. Not sure if you saw the view of Carreg Cennen Castle on your left where you nearly stopped.

You need to learn marketing: That was a valuable mission in route evaluation for a summer expedition. Thankfully a stuck truck inspired an investigation in alternative routes that will benefit any investments into the real tour to the mountain top. All things considered, the project was a great success! 🤗 Without this win then next win would not make the whole a win-win! 🥳😃 You may call that make up in denial or putting lipstick on a pig, but that's what marketing is!

I don’t wait around, I go right to the front, and see for myself. I usually wiggle myself through. There was an accident (a biker 🥲), and the car drivers were telling me to turn around. Na, crack on x I admire your adventurous attitude. Many would stay at home. Brilliant x

I was up the Black Mountain this afternoon on the bike, there were many patches of loose gravel between the mountain and Llangadog, on quite a few of the corners as well. The roads here in Wales leave a lot to be desired fair play.

that's in Ammanford and that road that says residents only I just had seats redone on that road , I was confused there to thinking well I have tp park tough hahaha

I live in brynamman, wish I knew you were coming (you past my house) could have shown you another route up which was quicker, they had the road closed for about 3 weeks. Enjoying the videos, wales is not for the feint hearted if your a biker 😂

Wales is no place to be in the winter months, believe me, I live here. The Black Mountain pass is good, but there are so many roads just as good in the South Wales area. Next time, stop at the owl's nest cafe in Llandovery as there will be plenty of bikers to advise you. Hope to see you here again in the better months of the year.

No way. You literaly drove past my house when you did the detour. You were so close too. If you'd have turned right at the junction at around 9:50 in the video you would have got there. Better luck next time. It is worth the effort. 🙏

LOOKS CHILLY OUT I LOVE BEING IN TRAFFIC IN THE COLD ILL GET REALL CLOSE TO THE CARS IN FRONT OF ME AND THE PUFFY WHITE SMOKE/STEAM PUMPING FROM THE TAILPIPE POURS ALL OVER ME AND ITS SO WARM AND COZY FEELS AMAZING WHEN ITS COLD OUT AND WARMS YOU UP A LITTLE BEFORE LEAVING THE TRAFFIC LIGHT

Saffy: please get your sv650 a front fender extension. That water hitting the front cylinder will cause the spark plug to stop working. Just fyi.

What 125 would you recommend to start off with to do touring/camping. Also, would it be better to start with camp sites before doing wild camping.

Such a shame, you were literally 3 miles from the climb, easy for me to say as it's one of my regular and favourite rides across the scenic Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains, really frustrating to watch, bit of advice my dear for your next attempt, take the Llandovery route... Added Edit: Have you ever heard of April showers, come back mid May to September,... First Impressions Last A Lifetime.

It’s Bryn - am - man It’s easier to say like this , old coal mining area like the majority of wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 it’s a fantastic area if you get to it ,when we ride we use all the roads like these better than dual carriage ways ,better luck next time

You are a glutton for punishment, i wonder at times if you are a masochist? An alternative to camping when the weather is really bad is Youth Hostels, they are really good, cheap and the food pretty decent. I stayed at Hartington Hall in Derbyshire a few weeks ago, 2 night's including breakfast, as much as you can eat £58. There is a good network around the UK and in Europe, I have used them since the late 70's, perhaps you should give them a try out? beats being cold. What happened to your Honda CB500X, did you leave it in Norway? and if that's the case, when are you going to retrieve it?
