The visual effect change of the gun lance is that the bindings “fall off” Most weapons have white bindings and when the weapon awakens they rip off of fall off, like a demon being released

Think of them as seals that "seal" the demonic power within the weapon that one wields. When unsheath, the seals rip off as a sign of demonic power unleashing from the weapon, hence why the weapons look very devilish in nature.

It took me 5 sieges to get my ideal long shelling gunlance (level 6 shelling, Zora set bonus, the rest in sharpness), and without handicraft it has a huge chunk of purple sharpness. I love the thing, and being able to swap out a Zora piece has let me add a bunch more to my build. Capcom did an awesome job on this system. It's tedious, but rewarding. Plus they all look awesome.

The Lance has a cool awakening feature where the Shield opens up. Because Safi's armor is IMO the coolest looking armor in the game, I been trying to use stuff that can take advantage of it's bonus. Currently SA/Lance/SnS seems to take advantage of it's abilities. The main ability that shines with Safi's set is Latent Power and Resentment, as now you can control when it activates.

I'm not a fan of this. It's like Kulve all over again, in the older MH games all weapons were viable because there was a point to using them based on their elements and ailments. Now everyone is going to run around with the same looking weapons again, at least the glow tells you what element they are using. But this is exactly what most people complained about, this is basically the ore/bone weapons with fur or scales on it. They look the same, sure they glow, but I'm not a moth, I prefer more variety and interesting designs.

Lol, I can play and love all weapons but i continually yell curse words at almost all weapons people use. Gunlance wyvern blast, longsword swipes, arrows and sticky to the back of head and hammer tosses to the air (which can be useful sometimes). They all suck for team play but it's awesome. I really hate insect glaive cuz my buddy runs it 100% of hunts. I was forced to craft a gunlance build with flinch free and I pay him back wit the wayvern blast. He gets so mad that he screamed, "fucking warn me next time!" I said, hows it feel bro?" You need to warn me every 3seconds with your whoopin stick.

@@maliwan516 its actually the opposite, you save to the cloud a perfect copy of your current save which the game already does by itself. then you turn it off and do all your shenanigans locally on a console, if you are satisfied with results you turn saving to the cloud back on and continue. if not you switch off the game just as if you were playing offline. it has exactly the same chances (if not lower) of corrupting a savefile as playing a normal way. the only thing is a moral side of it because technically its abusing a saving system

You can break down weapons with potential buildup (you can get free potential by fighting safi with safi weapons) for extra dracolite. Also. Don't forget you can upgrade old Xeno weapons to R12 with safi materials

You can hit triangle to auto materials into it to next level, just like armor.

to make it easier and quicker, just press triangle twice to auto use dracolite, so you don't have to keep manually choosing. Pressing it once will put in the dracolite the game wants to use, which you can cancel out of if you don't want to use, say, a rigid dracolite.

You can just hit Y or triangle when you're on the Required Materials screen, and the game will automatically figure out the most optimal combinations of materials, same with upgrading armor. It's pretty minor but saves a few seconds.

Star count = awakened level, and from my experience (let me repeat that, from my experience, as in I'm not claiming this is a fact) a higher awakening level tends to roll higher rarity abilities.

Trying to roll Zorah Essence on my 2nd gunlance is my worst nightmare. Also, I notice that the higher the awakening level on the weapon the more resources it takes to upgrade it. So it may not always be better to get the base skills if you want a set bonus, especially a rare one like the Zorah Essence. Still trying to figure out the best way to get Zorah essence while using as few materials as possible...

I got a master's touch Swax with blast on my first siege (I was playing with the Ironbreakers too), RNGesus smiled on me on that day. Also LBG is officially broken now (I'm not even exaggerating) sure it'll be nice to have 5 mod slots but who cares?; when you can have artillery secret and true spare shot on the same set!, when you can rapid-fire elemental shots with massive clip sizes and when the HZD crossover gives you a r12 LBG (W/a new mod) that allows you to do stupid amounts of damage!.

Not realy for every point besides hzd lbg. For sticky damage cap makes rajang better for speedruns and guyding lands(it still has more raw).The new gun is good when you dont stack fortify though. Elemental lbg are upgrade for rf element. RF does less damage then current single shot meta .Again , you get better comphy sets (rf solves ammo issues compared to single shot) .Basically new guns are not broken they just give some more alternatives (which is big by itself)
