Thank you for all the Questions and email messages on this new product. One of the insightful questions was "can it operate to turn the vehicle into a Mild Hybrid". The answer is Yes. Both the hybrid models are in fact "Automotive Mild Hybrid" products. The challenge for Safiery is to operate them with Scotty AI as if it is the vehicle ECU. Vehicle manufacturers don't reveal their ECU software. This is a technology game of replicating that functionality in Scotty Ai and reading the engine's CAN messages. We don't need to do this to extract power of course but we do when running as a Mild Hybrid. Why? In the Mild Hybrid mode, the maximum generation is done while braking or cruising - generally down hill. Then, when hill climbing or over-taking, the power flow reverses and the unit becomes a motor assisting the engine. This all has to happen in a split second. Fortunately Scotty AI operates in microseconds and can respond safely to sudden changes in demand. So imagine this unit switching from 10kW assisting the motor to 10kW power extraction from the motor in millionths of a second. Thats a 20kW delta. I call that tough shit. I believe we can do this, we just have to get it done. Once done, we will have a unique position globally with power extraction from a second "Synchronous Hybrid Alternator". This could in fact also be a single unit as the primary power source at 48V with Scotty AI feeding the 12V power to the starter battery and all the 12v devices in the back.
