Actually safiye feared nurbanu, and nurbanu was always above mihrimah and safiye, and safiye had a bad reputation with she because she was opinionated=) and did many stupid things with nurbanu, during murad reign safiye hadn't any power, canfeda hatun ruled the impwrial harem during murat III reign.

@@aroobamehtab4980 nope, i've readed it from pierce books which has the most concret ottoman history sources, his sources info is also used at exams abd ppl which writed at exams what they've learned from pierce got point for the grady for anything from him. During nurbanu reign safiye was exiled to old palace, when nurbanu died safiye came back 1 year after nurbanu sultan's death, then 2 years later safiye married murat, safiye was a haseki sultan not a bas kadin but canfeda ruled the harem as a de facto valide like mihrimah during selim II reign:)

@@safiye3040 I think Mihrimah's more powerful than Nurbanu since after her mother's death she's the most powerful woman because the Sultan (her father)fully trusted her then after her father the next sultan(selim,her brother) also trusted her enough to give her some political power,after her brother's(selim's) death some says she kept her position and shared power with Nurbanu until her own death.

@@megumimendel2008 that's true about she shared power with nurbanu, but during selim reign mihrimah needed nurbanu to mentain strong in the background, mihrimah was a strong ottoman princess, the strongest ottoman princess at that times before nurbanu sultan's daughter, gevherhan became more powerful than she, because gevherhan lived longer and exercised power slowly but succesfully, meanwhile mihrimah had more power exercising potential, everyone knows if mihrimah would live longer than she lived would be the strongest ottoman princess in history, however, nurbanu was above mihrimah, and nurbanu had a good heart and helped mihrimah, also nurbanu prevented humasah's husband execution once which would decrease mihrimah power, yeah i mean ayse humasah sultan the daughter of mihrimah sultan. There wasn't a more influential woman than nurbanu for selim aswell for murad, the fact that selim wanted to have his first son only with nurbanu and that he didn't took other concubines says a lot aswell as selim asked nurbanu allowment during his reign for that and she accepted it because there is the good of the dynasty in game, also nurbanu was the strongest haseki sultan in the history of ottoman empire, she governed the dynasty with sokollu mehmed pashe during her husband reign which had a bad situation with alcohool, he was an alcoholic, so practically but not legally nurbanu as his legal wife, not a simple concubine, a true sultana was his regent with the grand vizier and the dynasty situation was moregood than ever, not just bcs of nurbanu and sokollu inteligence but sukeyman created some doors for those goals and nurbanu, sokollu and selim had the inteligence to enter them.:)
