A bit half-hearted when looking at the wealthier actors who have been interviewed, yet easy to understand why. The root is capitalism which strangles distribution of wealth. If you're one of the lucky ones, and I admit that I am one of those people, you recognize that inertly you are striking to reduce your own wealth at a certain point. It's frightening and Is beyond saving in my opinion. Don't think for one minute that if studios could completely replace human creativity using AI, they wouldn't do it. No sympathy for working class people. It's all a business and it's up to you to make the decision which business you want to be a part of in life, some industries are dwindling and you need to look ahead so you don't get caught up unaware and stuck. Only 1% of actors are actually wealthy. Most actors need to have more than one job to support themselves.
@omarholder9036 Жыл бұрын
As others pointed out to you, most actors aren't that wealthy. There is usually only 1 or 2 big names actor in a movie that commands a marquee salary. All the side characters and extras are making fractions upon fractions of that. On top of that, greedy CEOs found ways to avoid paying the appropriate residuals by claiming that streaming revenues were down and they were losing money, so instead of the thousands of dollars they should be getting for the programs they work on being broadcast worldwide they were getting less. This is about more than actors too. Residuals are to be paid to everyone that works on the film sets as well and if Film companies are using declining streaming revenues to scam their employees out of a significant percentage of their earned wages, while giving themselves bonuses at the end of the years in the hundreds of millions, then this is what you get.
