SAG-AFTRA video game actors on strike over AI concerns

Formosa ( a studio for voice actors) is shady af. They should have paid for Paimon's voice actor, and now the sag-aftra strike. the lastest archon quest in Genshin has Kinich and Kachina is not voiced(Also Nilou, Alhaitham,Kaveh,Faruzan,Nahida,etc has no voice in Nahida birthday aka Subzerus festival and only some are voiced such as Paimon, Cyno,and Sorush) which affected the gameplay experience. MiHoyo and other game companies should cut ties with these kinds of studios as fast as possible and work with other studios

Respectfully it can. There’s already programs out there where you can change the emotion of a text and the a.I will replicate it. Ya it’s not 1 to 1 to a voice actor, but it’s started

If anything, it will only affect the big game dev/publishers. Indy devs already automate lots of stuff. Hell, this might even produce another set of AAA devs that only use AI in their content. It's a bad look for the strikers. Videos games are different from movies.

Actors no longer needed because AI can replicate them PERFECTLY. This is why you save those millions early on and don't presume your wealth to the poor. Now many of these actors will be poor because studios will only screw them over every which way
