I know nobody care about my opinion lol but I think the first biggest impact will be on agriculture. Without the need for humanoid robot per say, the machines that are already currently coming out are game changer. Full of cameras, they can recognize the weeds from the crops and spray them very locally to remove them which can save something like 90% of the weedkiller. It will save a lot of money but most importantly will keep the environment's pollution down to a minimum. That's only a example, but it will apply in all area in agricultural needs, probably driving world's hunger as a memory. So good job humanity 😀😍😀
@prashanthtalla2 ай бұрын
Instead of spraying, why not remove them?
@hawaiicashew32372 ай бұрын
@@prashanthtalla Also possible it just require some moving parts in the machine that will add complexity. It's much more easier to have a sprinkler that just rotate than an arm for example that must go into the ground. Today's most complex agricultural machine (crops harvesters) have a lot of moving parts and always require maintenance and break often. It's why I think humanoid robot are not yet coming into practical use. Also the same sprinkler machines are planed to detect and treat illnesses/parasites on the plants. I am sure AI mechanical removal will come up, they are just not the priority.

I know that many people are concerned about this kind of thing but they probably don't realise what the challenges are to be really in the field and producing food for billions of people with a very limited workforce. Not many people are interested in farming these days and that's alright, humanity keeps evolving. It's also truly exhilarating for a farmer to produce such quantities of food. So, mechanical weed removal already exists and is used in many cases, but the machines we use for that are not as efficient as a human arm. So for many crops we cannot use them as we would arm the wanted plants as well. Organic farming uses different techniques that prevent the use of chemical weed removal but increase the workforce needed and the cost as well. Don't get me wrong, I think the organic initiative is a great market that pushes the whole industry in the right direction and gets the people to be interested. But believing that today's organic agriculture could sustain humanity's needs is not realistically taking the scale at which the food must be produced. I believe that humanoid arms could be used in the future but for now, we are at the very beginning. The present concepts are used in labs, in a farm they will be subject to dirt, water, insects, dust, uneven terrain...etc. You would be surprised how a simple conveyor belt put under those conditions needs constant monitoring and maintenance so robot arms in the field might not be there for a little while. In the meanwhile if AI can even reduce by 50% the amount of product that we input on our crops, we really should be hyped about it, at least I am. It will already have a huge impact and allow ecosystems to be able to start recovering. I know that all the agricultural government agencies and farms around the world are aware (or are becoming aware) of the need to produce food more sustainably and that they are driven by passionate people that spend their days in the fields. They know exactly what needs to be done to do so without dropping the food chain supply. Remember also that there is no global solution, each farm has its specificity. The support of the consumers will be of better help than the trending criticism that runs in some places. Food is what we share the most and we are all in this together. Also do not mix up herbicides with pesticides that treat plants against parasites and illnesses, those one almost can't be replaced mechanically and will probably beneficiate the most from AI. Just had to make a point 😁

One benificial to humanity use for AI would be to replace bureaucracy, Get rid of form work, Get rid of excess hoop jumping, Get rid of fees, you just answer the questions, who you are and what do you need and wait 30 seconds and its all good. Would save billions in wages, Billions in lost time, and lower frustration... In fact you should be able to just tell your personal AI and the what ever gets taken care of. And all the people working in bureaucracy could just be paid UBI and told they are retired. I think Elon is correct, that people will actually be happier not working as forced, and will tend to enjoy hobbies and adventures. I'm retired, every day is exquisite, get to stay home with my dogs, cook good food, work on projects, plan goals and do my lists for purchases for those goals... And there is one thing AI cant compete with its "self sufficiency". And with AI will be like choosing a game level. Just because we have giant cloth factories doesnt keep people from enjoying spinning and weaving. Just because we have grocery stores, doesnt keep people from wanting to fish, hunt, garden, or have chickens. Just because we have cars, doesnt mean nobody wants horses. Just because we have steel, didnt stop people from knapping flint and chert arrow heads... Humans love to learn, you tube is a potential example of a high tech that increases learning opportunities. AI will be no different.. Also with Robots, it will be a de facto helper. People will be able to choose how much of what they do. One might have their robot till soil if they have physical limits... Another factor might be the elimination of drudgery, like it would be great to sew and once you got things worked out, have your Robot working nights making more of the same garments. I think the biggest issue with AI, is it needs to be adverse to controlling behavior. Kind of opposite of many humans, who to make up for lack of self control, try to control others... This is a sickness... What AI should be designed for, is to increase individual and collective freedom.

So if the wifi robots get out of control- they can be stopped by the force field- similar to an eletric fence for a dog. It would probably have to be a magnetic.forcefield of sorts and would be very expensive. Another option would be to run the ai robots in homes off of a tesla coil system and somehow incript it so they can not leave an area, if that is possible. Or put a coil in each home that that has a range that the robot can't leave. Not 100% sure how that works, but just brainstorming some ideas

As for what will happen to humanity after AI is able to do everything, and we apparently have no further purpose, according to the Universe 25 animal study, people will go insane. AI’s biggest impact is poised to be in areas where it can significantly enhance human capabilities, improve efficiency, and solve complex challenges. One of the most transformative areas is healthcare, where AI can revolutionize diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, drug discovery, and patient monitoring. With its ability to process vast amounts of data quickly and accurately, AI can help doctors make faster and more accurate decisions, potentially saving lives and improving patient outcomes. Another significant area is in climate and environmental management. AI can optimize energy usage, improve resource allocation, and enhance predictive models for weather and natural disaster forecasts. These capabilities can play a vital role in tackling climate change by supporting sustainable practices and helping mitigate environmental damage. AI’s impact is also evident in the realm of education, where personalized learning platforms can cater to students' unique needs, making education more accessible and tailored. In business, AI is enhancing decision-making, streamlining supply chains, and driving innovation. However, while AI offers immense potential, its integration must be handled carefully to ensure ethical use, mitigate biases, and protect privacy. The greatest impact of AI will come from a balanced approach that leverages its strengths while safeguarding human values and rights.

From mining the required resources to assembling, fine tuning and improving on itself. It’s going to get f***ing weird very quickly.

Asking my wife, would you like to have a robot companion? No, I just want a robot that can mop floors and do chores. Okay, so… you ask this thing to do chores and you interact with it, so at some point there’s a sense of obligation to that robot. Perhaps feelings of guilt for ordering it around? Yeah…. But I just want something I can program. Ah, I see! So giving verbal commands is not programming? I just want a roomba, she says. Yeah, we’ll see if that’s where it ends!!

You don’t NEED autonomous vehicles, robots yes ….cars NO! Completely misses the point - with a car you HAVE to go there anyway. Robots are supposed to replace the need for you go in the first place - they are completely different contexts.
@AlexanderMoen2 ай бұрын
well, if you have robots able to autonomously drive cars, then you have autonomous cars. Chances are that these robots aren't going to be anywhere near as fast as cars on their own if you sent them to go do something

The best testing grounds for AI would be really in the sky If a plane piloted by AI could take off fly and land under any weather conditions then I guess we are either entirely safe or need to be greatly troubled 😢

I just want an AI that can look at a website, determine what it does, and produce 728x90pixel advertising banners for it. Sadly nothing is capable yet :(

This is the most dystopian wish I have seen all day. Also, spoiler alert, AI does exist that can do exactly that, or rather is capable of that, as you wished. You would just need to pipe a web scraper into an interpreter and then into an image generator and give it some very specific instructions.

Creating a “super over nova AI” that serves as an ultimate guardian of good is a fascinating concept. Here are some key elements that could make this vision a reality: Unified Ethical Core: Embedding a strong ethical framework at the core of this AI to ensure it always prioritizes good and beneficial outcomes. Advanced Security Measures: Implementing state-of-the-art security protocols to protect the AI from any malicious influences or attacks. Global Collaboration: Working with international experts and organizations to establish and maintain the AI’s ethical standards and security measures. Continuous Learning: Ensuring the AI can learn and adapt to new challenges while maintaining its commitment to good. Human Oversight: Keeping a team of ethical and technical experts to monitor and guide the AI’s actions, ensuring it remains aligned with its mission. By focusing on these elements, we can work towards creating an AI that truly embodies the principles of good and serves humanity in a positive and protective manner. What other features do you think this super AI should have to ensure it remains a force for good?

Humans always existed for a purpose . Now the biggest question is when AI Agents starts doing everything what impact will it have on purposeless humans and society at large ? Is the human race prepared / or preparing for it? There can be two extremes one side there could be abundance and everything can become way cheap one there could be mass utopia on the other hand if the AI technology gets into the hands of few powerful corporations and men they will make us slaves and there will be mass dystopia and suffering . So it’s very important to democratize AI. There should be a centralized AI auditing agency which should make sure frankensteins are not being built b Gond closed AI labs and AI bots are being raised ( trained ) to adhere to ethical human standards. Right now that’s not happening and no one knows what they are building and how it’s going to change our lives forever and common people like us are not part of the discussion . So our future lives a being decided right now by few people like ESam Altman , Emad Mostaque , Sutskevar etc and no one is asking them what you are building and how are they ensuring their technology cannot be used by rogue Actors against humanity . Remember movie terminator -and cyberdine ? Questions like if some country asks 10000 Optimus for military purpose will it be given or what’s going to stop countries from building robot armies which can devastate other countries ? I am sure they won’t be able to give straight answer

We will become immortal because we will be able to reverse aging. We just need to survive for the next decades and we will be there. It's going to happen!
