I find it kind of interesting that Kabuto was always compared to Kakashi in part 1, the copy ninja. Then Kabuto later on takes a bunch of other shinobi's abilities for his own, almost like a dark mirror version of that idea

I agree, even their backstories. Kakashi spent his whole childhood dealing with the idea of having loyalty to your friends or the mission given. It formed his whole morality. Kabuto on the other hand went to opposite way, always being a double, triple, quadruple agent having a dubious agenda and loyalty with no real identity formed how he was. It shows the branching path when directly doing dirty shinobi work. Sorry for the essay.

Kid Obito didn't have mastery over kamui like he did later in life, and Minato clapped kid Obito so if Kabuto can stand toe to toe with kid Obito than no shot minato loses, unless Kabuto has edos, if Minato can't just kill Kabuto and needs to release the edo he would probably need to summon ma and pa toads bc I don't think Minato has been shown to use genjutsu

W vid. My boy stay hyping up the underrated Sage Dragon Kabuto. Thumbnail is heat. What's even crazier about the Tandem Paper Bombs is that the Deity Gates that tanked the Juubi Bomb were actually completely separate from the one Tobirama destroyed, and it was far bigger than the previous ones. I also think it can be argued that Tobirama can use a Shadow Clone + Tandem Paper Bomb combination, because the databook confirms Tandem Paper Bombs are not Edo Tensei-exclusive. However I'd also say its very much a fan fueled concept and I wouldn't blame anyone for not buying it as an in-character strategy.

Tobirama only said he explicitly made Tandem Paper Bomb for edo tensei most likely due to the fact they keep regenerating and thus it can be continuous for a good amount of time where as with shadow clone it's a one time chain reaction use

I think Tandem Paper Bomb was only used on stationary targets. It starts off with a few papers floating through the air. It should be easy to dodge for someone like Kabuto. Non-stationary targets get pushed back by the blast so they only take a fraction of the full power of the blast anyway. In canon knowledge, Kabuto probably knows almost everything about Tobirama, but Tobirama has 0 knowledge of Kabuto. Kabuto already has knowledge to counter it, meaning in most scenarios, Tobirama will be unlikely to pull it off. That gives one wincon for Tobirama that's hard to accomplish, meanwhile Kabuto has more than one wincon. The numbers heavily favour Kabuto. Also you don't need eyes to activate Susanoo, so Sasuke just wasn't fast enough to react.

Love you guys, great video and all and I know this was a minor point in the video but people use it all the time to downscale the second… there’s a huge difference between respect and fear… Hashirama was Tobiramas, big brother, war commander, and hokage. He’s a man of duty so of course he’ll listen to Hashi when he tells him to calm down. He didn’t even look scared in the slightest if anything he looked annoyed, and it the same scene he tells Hashi to shut up multiple times. If you’re about to get in a fight and you calm down cuz your mom tells you to does that mean she can speed blitz and one shot you? No you just respect her and you naturally listen to an older family member.

I agree with you, Tobirama and Hashirama were pretty close in power, same with Izuna and Madara. The thing is, Hashirama has the haxy wood style that can suppress chakra but Tobirama has the intellect to compare to him. He definitely wasn't scared of Hasirama. It's more about respect.

Kabuto is like…an objective mirror into Itachi as a character. I wouldn’t even call him a foil since he doesn’t actually contrast Itachi, in fact Itachi is a far worse and pathetic person than Kabuto is but it seems like the reverse because Kabuto says the quiet part out loud . Both are essentially just representations of the evils the Shinobi system inflicts on people, but like Orochimaru Kabuto is self aware because he’s not loyal to the village system. Some of my favorite character writing comes from that little mini arc where Sasuke and Itachi have to team up.

28:15 this isn't true. Minato stated that the nine tails chakra was too heavy for he, himself, as the sealed host to handle more than half of said chakra, not that sealing the entire ninetails was a difficult task. Also, Kushina confirmed in the manga that Minato knows more sealing jutsu that would be just as effective against the ninetails as the reaper death seal. He only used it because he wanted to split the ninetails. Also, in the data books the reaper death seal only allows you to seal what you're chakra at the moment can handle, which means Minato after the Obito fight had enough chakra to seal away the entire nine tails, one in him and the other in Naruto.

This is actually a fair point, as far as remaining sealing jutsu IMO I just didn't want to give him a slide based on jutsu we haven't seen. I'll have to double check on the other stuff noted, but realistically it doesn't change much about the matchup unless you say Minato has other sealing we haven't seen > than reaper. I do agree though that the reaper seal was done purposely for Naruto to use that power against Obito.

I get your point, I really do. However, sealing jutsu's can be resisted if the opponent has enough power, orochimaru was resisting hiruzen for a while, Naruto & Bee broke out of the multi layered barriers, etc. Also, where would MINATO seal kabuto? 👍

It was kushina that held down kurama using her UNIQUE SEALING JUTSU, that MINATO can't use 👍. But yet, people only ever talk about minato. Kurama is too much for MINATO. MINATO really is powerful, but he can't beat nine tails on his own. 👍

I think Kabuto could certainly make it annoying, but Minato should clear this with a speed advantage and sealing hax, but y'all were making it sound like Minato didn't have anything for him

I mean even if you didn't it's pretty obvious that Minato's offencive jutsus are lackluster against someone who has such op regen hax like Kabuto. Minato probably improved his speed after that but there is no proof if he did and if he did we dk by how much. Base Bee reacted to him perfectly. SM Kabuto's reaction speed and perception are op and obviously much better than Bee's. So I believe that after a few futile attempts to damage Kabuto, Kabuto will catch Minato. Minato has no way to put him down. Kabuto's SM White Rage + SM amped Tayuya's genjutsu will easily end the fight saving Kabuto the trouble of catching Minato mid attack.

@@dmob39 He'd be biased then. I preferred to think he's trying to be realistic. How do you not agree with the fact that a simple kunai attack or a rasengan are no danger against SM Kabuto? Itachi's Totsuka strike which is much more powerful than a rasengan made Orochimaru laugh and he called it a puny attack, so if not for Totsuka's sealing properties it'd be no danger to Orochimaru. He got sliced in half by 4 tails Naruto and reattached himself and can use Oral Rebirth if he's heavily damaged. Kabuto has Oro's regen, but he also has Karin's regen and Sage Mode stats buff which is HUGE. Minato would simply get destroyed as I said in my previous comment.

Yeah exactly means nothing it's a character thing, it’s meant to point out the hypocrisy of his character that being he claims to be perfect yet requires glasses. It also adds to his theme of wanting to become somebody and consistently adding to himself to become someone which is a mirror to Obito’s I don’t want to be anyone.

Kabuto would take damage by Tobirama's paper bombs but Oral Rebirth will be an easy counter for it. Hokage Kakashi isn't really a danger to him either. His best jutsu is purple lighting which wouldn't be a problem for Kabuto's regen. Sure Kakashi got a bit faster but his reaction speed and perception are worse now cause he doesn't have sharingan. That's why instead of Raikiri he uses purple lighting. We know KCM Naruto was faster than SM Naruto but he switched from KCM to SM to counter 3rd Raikage's attack. Kabuto with his heavily amped reaction speed and perception and overall stats wouldn't have much difficulty to react and counter Kakashi's attacks imo.

I'm sure kakashi is better now at some things, like speed, know more jutsus, etc. But he lacks power, when compared to characters like TOBIRAMA, minato, tsunade, etc, all these have more chakra/power than kakashi. Kakashi is my top 5 favourite character. 👍

@@kelvinallen9327 I had forgotten it was stated in the novels that kakashi took a huge leap in chakra bc lack of the sharingan, it was stated that he could casually make a 2 or 3 mile tale earth wall and with his chakra create a thunderstorm big enough to absolutely shock 3rd tsuchikage (onoki) with amount of power he was producing the person who was biggest treat amount the hokage , defeat an ice user who defeated the 4th raikage, u guys understimate how much of a drain the sharingan took on his chakra reserves. and if u what to use Tsunade Madara feats , it was implied that Madara held back massively bc Tsunade was able to crack his ribcage but when he fought Naruto and he was more serious he was able to block his attack with the blue aura of his susanno, no rib cage , just the aura , so scaling her to Madara rib cage is weird while kakashi was able to inflict damage on Obito who was able to tank damage from rasengan of kcm Naruto of guard and later fight alongside kcm Minato later in the war , so????

Also, if kishimooto were to increase kakashi's chakra too much, then it would seem very unrealistic. I don't doubt that his chakra increased, but base on his rate of chakra development since as a child, kakashi's chakra reserve was never very impressive. But his skills were always great, and got even better. I like him as a character, and I wanted him to be much stronger in the series, with or without his sharingan. So kishimooto needs to be careful about how much chakra he will give kakashi now, especially considering that kakashi's chakra was not too impressive. 👍

Kabuto already showed how easy it is to navigate around mokuton user. Hashi's gates are useless if the opponent is moving, they're no factor at all. Kabuto senses everything even if Hashi would use gates Kabuto would just move out of the way or simply liquefy to move out. So Rashamon Gates are useless against Kabuto. How would Hashi deal with light sound attack? This is how Kabuto will surely start the fight. Hashi will play defensive an loose initiative. He won't be able to enter sage mode, he will try to shield himself with wood but the sound would still mess him up. Next Kabuto could use Tayuya genjutsu, what's Hashi's answer for that? Kabuto could also slice him up with chakra blade, if Tsunade couldn't regenerate from that Hashi won't as well, he is not Orochimaru, Kabuto is. Hashi is good when it comes down to open battles with giant opponents or someone vastly weaker than himself but against tricky one or someone who's obviously stronger than he is he didn't do anything remotely impressive. Hashi technics are physical, he can't simply harm a liquefied opponent that could sense where they come from. It's a bad match for Hashi.

First time i watched the show i was certain I’d gotten a “secret good guy” vibe from Kabuto, so everytime i saw him show up right up until sasuke absorbed Orochimaru, i kept expecting him to flip sides. “Alright NOW’s the moment we learn Kabuto is a double agent planted by Jirayia to spy on Orochimaru.” Never came, dude just became a snake. And then an orphanage director ig. (Him and Orochimaru may be war-criminals and all, but so is Sasuké and he’s been a huge help fighting the alien gods that keep attacking, maybe let two of the most talented ninja ever get some licks in.) Also, FUCK, Itachi’s izanagi genjutsu loop thing is so effective he legit turned a warmongering science experiment/ child soldier, into a caregiver for orphaned children. Sharingan are freaking magic dude.

I honestly think Kakashi gets absolutely man-handled by Sage Kabuto. Plus, idk, I think Hashirama is gunna have a tough time. Hashirama hasn’t been shown to be immensely fast. He has Sage mode so that makes him comparable to any other sage, but Sage Kabuto has been shown to dodge things that are faster than anything Hashirama has. Plus getting smashed by any wooden constructs doesn’t really affect Kabuto here. He can either liquify his body, simply Karin heal through it, or both. Not saying Hashirama loses. But saying Hashirama takes this no diff is a little off.

Poor scaling, nonsensical feats and anti-feats abound. Yea..... the absurdity on this one is... full force. Minato is at worst 50/50. Considered a Sealing Jutsu Prodigy, the undisputed fasted shinobi pre Otosuki level characters. Even without his flying raijin, he was the worlds best body flicker user as well. In fact, when speaking of KCM1 Naruto's speed, the raikage was comparing it to Minato's bodyflicker, not his Flying Raijin. Finally Kabuto blocking his seals for flying raijin is also dependant on him even knowing they are there. Considering these could even go undetected by 10 tail's jinchurriki, it's at least reasonable to say he might be able to slip a couple past Kabuto. I'm not saying he defiantly could, just that it's not nearly as 1 sided as you tried to make it seem. Also, whats up with the mindlessly downplaying the clearly narratively intended speed feat of Sarutobi arriving before Tobirama? This and the one other video In commented on stood out as particularly biased to me. My thought was that you debate power scaling in naruto, but it seems like I was mistaken. When presented with opposing viewpoints you simply say you disagree without attempting to provide evidence and then slink away. Like you said this isn't the first time we've interacted in a similar fashion. This would suggest your into power scaling, but only within an echo chamber that reinforces your own positions. The first fight we already saw we know naruto was fatigued but honestly itachi might not be haster than naruto, but i still think itachi got that. Going off memory here but sannin vs edo kage im gonna give it to the sannin since orochimaru can defuse the edo, jiraiya can seal things and tsunade can heal them up for long enough for them to get a strategy, and the sannin when working together to get a 3 times amp or something of the sort, so yeah that as well. Edo kage vs konoha 11 no naruto or sasuke, it depends on what you think of sakura if she pulls out the hundred healing or no, i think shino is underrated but at best he is able to sneak some bugs by rasa but big if that, i do think if shikamaru is allowed to strategise a little, konoha 11 might get a few wins, but i still rock with the edo kage winning more fights, but butterfly choji and hundred heals sakura is crazy combination, also ino mind transfer might come clutch in this fight imagine if she swap minds with muu and just start beating on gengetsu, but yeah i do the the edos win more often than not they scale too high

You're forgetting something about Minato. His AP doesn't really matter since he is very good at sealing jutsu, the Uzumaki ones in particular, not just the Shiki Fujin. He can probably hit Kabuto with FTG and then puit a seal on him like it's required to beat an Edo Tensei, at least something to restrict Kabuto's movements (which Iruka of all people is capable of), or prevent him from molding chakra.

Try concentrating on something for an extended period of time, gets a bit harder the longer it goes on, right? Your mind starts to wander away from whatever task you were doing. Pick up a cup and raise it in front of you, now hold it there for a while, gets harder the longer you hold it out there, right? Your muscles get fatigued staying in this extended position. And discounting the other argument that Itachi can hold it better because he is an edo, we could instead attribute it to him having probably much more time getting used to his Susanoo, probably years of knowing what it feels like (not necessarily years of being in the Susanoo, obviously, just more times it has been activated, likely turned it on years prior to his fight with Sasuke), whereas Sasuke has had his for like a week at this point and it's his second time turning it on. As we repeat a task more and more, we get used to the feeling. It becomes easier to maintain the baseline level of concentration/endurance required to do a task, e.g. we can go on autopilot for it.
