Thank you so much! I love the name of your channel! It’s funny that you mention that as I just clicked on one of the videos at the end of this video and it is about not looking terrible and I made it about two years ago. When I saw myself I thought I look pretty terrible! LOL! I think some of it is good anti-aging but quite honestly some of it is also that when you’re on KZbin you’re always trying to find ways to improve yourself and I think I have developed some better ways of styling my hair for instance. Being a KZbin is kind of strange as you do develop kind of a focus on how you look which I never really had To this extent before. That part I’m not so sure about but I guess it is helping me look better which I suppose is a good thing. Sorry for the ramble. Also I dictate this so please forgive the typos.

Blessings to you. You certainly don’t look your age! You really can make huge changes in a very short period of time. With good skin care and sunblock within a year your skin will look markedly different. I came to KZbin after a year of adopting good skin care at age 58. At that time my skin looked pretty saggy and had more discoloration than it does now for sure. Congratulations on being still so young on this next phase of your life. I wish totally good things for you. I truly believe that God does not give bad gifts. What I do in times of struggle is that I pray thanks to God and say although I don’t see the gift right now I know you only give good gifts and so I thank you for showing me the doors that are opening for me. Something like that. Even though this may be a bit of a hard time, in a few years I know you will look back on it and know why you chose this path. Many blessings to you. I will be thinking about you and hoping for your absolute best.

Bless you Stacy! Thank you so much for your kind words. You know bread and chocolate or two of my favorite things in the world! I think it helps me and giving up carbs or at least cutting them way down because unfortunately I can’t eat gluten or I get digestive issues. Chocolate though I have to admit about once a week I explode and go out and get a nut rages candy bar! Are used to be able to stay completely away from chocolate but lately I am having struggles. I totally get where you were coming from on that! Also, thank you so much from your light from within comment. @lindacgrace29733 жыл бұрын
Gosh! I remember when I was growing up in the 50s EVERYBODY did intermittent fasting. We ate breakfast at 8:00am, lunch at 1:00pm, and dinner at 6:00pm when Dad got home. I realize that's only a 14-hour fasting period, but we seemed to do alright with it. As a rare treat on the weekends, we might also have an ice cream or other dessert while watching a movie together. We were NOT given snacks, "You'll spoil your appetite!" This was a completely normal lifestyle. We prepared distinct meals and ate them on a regular schedule. We were not a nation of snackers. I am convinced that 80% of the disease in this country is due to the snacking-on-junk-food-all-day-long addiction so many of us have fallen into. God bless you for your very practical, actionable, message of hope. Keep up the good work!
@vera214T3 жыл бұрын
I think about how we had that lifestyle and I always feel so grateful growing up like that. No snacking or shoveling food down our throats regularly. There was this break in between our meals. Ingestion then digestion. Thanks for the reminder. 💕👍

OMG Linda! What an insightful comment and you were so right about everything you said! You know, I am actually in LA right now and I’m doing something on TV. I don’t want to sound flippant like that like it happens every day because it definitely does not and it is not a huge thing I’m doing it is something rather minor but it is still pretty fun. You always hear about the craft food catering it movies in that kind of thing. This show that I am working on or worked on yesterday, I am done now, had a craft food table and it was totally filled from one into the other with junk! Cookies Cheetos chips cokes, etc. It was a banana there but other than that it was about a 15 foot table filled with nothing but total junk. In the 50s the food industry was not nearly so prevalent and predominant. Since then, they have advertised us into a very fat and poor state of health. I loved your comment. I’m going to go off now and try not to spoil my appetite! LOL!

@@FiftyPlusBeauty oh, Of course the RLT hair restore helmet...well Der! I watched that, then promptly forgot. I'm waffling back/forth btw the helmet, the face mask, and/or the RLT light panels - for face hands, chest. I guess the panel wouldn't really be effective for my hair, though. (I 'spoke I could hold it over my hear for 10mins, & get my arms exercised @ same time😅 THE small Mito panel might work for that, idk - supposedly the wavelength is so powerful on the Mito panel, that shorter exposure does the same as a mask for the face, or a head helmet. So many choices in just RLT, aline (nevermind all the other devices)...driving myself a bit nuts over this. Good to know,about the Kendra shampoo. RN I'm using Olaplex which I like alot, but already out of the mask...doesn't go very far & SO pricey. Their products never go on sale - apparently - have ckd a few sites & asked on various chat options - nope, no discts on Olaplex :/ ...not even in the Nordstroms sale😠

Another thing would be to consume raw apple cider vinegar and also applying a diluted form to your skin. I used to sunbathe and I had a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead. I heard of others going to the doctor and getting them cut off and they just grow back. I put a bandaid soaked in apple cider vinegar on it for two weeks. The apple cider vinegar attacked it. It was about 1/4 of an inch big but I found out it was about an inch round under the surface. I really felt a week in that I had picked the wrong fight. It looked big, raw, and terribly painful. I stopped after two weeks and let it heal. It healed, scabbed over and fell off. I put some natural remedy on for scarring. It has been about a year and has never come back and has just the smallest bit of scarring that you really cannot see. If it does that to cancer on the surface, just think what it does to cancer in your body. Apple cider vinegar is awesome!

Thank you, Beth. Those were simple and inexpensive tips for anyone. I was surprised that I do all of them. I use Differen because I just feel the Retin A is too strong for me. I also shave the peach fuzz off my face and have been doing that for years. That helps my make up go on better, but so glad to know it is anti aging. I do use collagen, but not all the time, because sometimes, I just don't want anything more in my daily diet. I do fast and do not eat lunch until about 2:00 pm, but I am just not hungry until then. I do have a cup of organic green tea in the morning with a bit of stevia and just a drop of heavy cream. But that is all, I am not really a sweet eater, carbs on the other hand well, I need to work on that. I do use a Chrystal roller on my face every day and I get facials every 5 or 6 weeks, except for the year and a half of Covid restrictions. I am 67 years old and the other day my husband and I went to the movies and I ran inside before him, we were late, and some middle age guys seeing me alone started to talk to me, until my husband came along. I thought it was so funny, to know, hey, I am not dead yet. ;-)

Besides that I just use mct oil mixed equal parts with sweet almond oil around the eye area (my almond oil contains vitamin e & sunflower oil) It's gotten rid of fine lines, keratosis bumps and plumped up the hollows I was getting. Mct unlike cold pressed organic coconut oil is non-comedogenic and I also use that as a pre-cleanse for sunscreen & makeup and I eat the stuff too. You look great! Thank you for introducing that product! I just got Sculptra injections with my certified nurse practitioner in May. Seeing great firming with that since I no longer can do fillers. They don't mix well with aged skin sagging. I do not want to go under the knife!!! Thank you for doing your research!!

Thank you so much for all your very good comments. Your comment reminded me that I need to get Meditation back into my life. I was doing it very religiously for a while and then fell away from it and feel the loss. That’s also a great tip about using the oralift along with the Meditation. Great idea! Thanks!

Hi Beth, do you use the collagen in the morning? Just curious, because I’ve been told it has calories and not to use it in the morning if you intermittent fast. Thanks
@MyMaria12243 жыл бұрын
I do IF and I have it during my meals
@barbarafairbanks45783 жыл бұрын
Missy Mercer- there's alot of controversy over what breaks a fast. I've been wondering if my coffee in the a.m. breaks my fast. Per Dave Asprey (the bulletproof coffee guy) bullet proof coffee -coffee with only MCT oil in it - doesn't break a fast. I have a tendency to not believe everything Dave Asprey says - he's not a doctor and seems inclined to recommend anything that he sells. And he, of course, sells the makins for bullet proof coffee - at least the MCT compound - (probably the coffee too😅). But Dr. Mindy Pelz, is someone I DO trust. She says that it's particular to the person and it depends on whether the food or substance ingested causes a rise in glucose, i.e., a tiny rise like a couple points is not breaking the fast but a higher spike in glucose does indicate the fast has been broken. That makes alot of sense to me because foods can affect everyone's physiology differently, depending on our individual chemistry. I'm still left wondering, in my case though, because I don't have a continuous glucose monitor...yet! But more and more people are wearing them, and they really aren't that pricey anymore. In the meantime I'm hoping my one espresso with MCT & Stevia in the a.m. is not breaking my IF, but we'll see. I could be deluding myself:/ I add my hydrolyzed collagen to my protein shake later, when I intend to break my fast.
@FiftyPlusBeauty3 жыл бұрын
Hi Barbara. I would need to look into that but I would think that what you’re doing does not really break your fast. I don’t feel like my collagen does break my fast. Is it just my thoughts though and I probably need to investigate further. Thanks for bringing it up as it is an interesting point.

I love that you are confident and comfortable being like that and don't put yourself down. That's something I'm working on. Could you do a video about how to be comfortable being confident? Habits etc. Have you always been like this or did it take work? Thank you 😊
@FiftyPlusBeauty3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your nice comment and I am glad I come off as confident! I have to admit though that it is some thing I have to work on. That is a great idea for a video though and I will do that for sure! Thanks so much for asking that and I wish you well on your confidence journey. Sometimes we all just have to act as if we feel confident even if we don’t. Somehow that does seem to help.

Actually, I have the collagen peptides in my coffee in the morning and then I don’t eat until around noon. I don’t really consider that breaking my fast.

Retinol & Ferulic Acid body lotion , and have been using it after every shower for the past 2 weeks....ni noticable difference yet. I aso alternate the Medix Retinol with Neutrogena Hydroboost overnight hydration cream with hylauranic acid and vitamin E. I also have exima on my feet, so I have been using Kerasal Intensive Foot Repair any time I get a flare, very helpful. Hope this helps!

Hi Melinda. I am so happy those products are working for you! As you know if you watch my channel I generally don’t favor high cost products but I have to admit I love both of those products too. I am still using both of them. When I went to get my lip injections my aesthetician said what are you doing to make your brows so thick? She said in women my age they typically have to micro blade them because there are almost no hairs left. Earlier in my life I would’ve never thought I would be grateful to have eyebrows! LOL! Again, I am so happy those products are working for you.

It’s funny that you ask that Jane as I just asked my husband that. He was confused by my question and when I said do you think it disrupts too much of your life he said no, I think if you want to do it it’s just fine. Thanks for asking that though as that is a very good question.
