SAGUENAY | Better than expected!! | Canada & New England Cruise | Caribbean Princess

Welcome Aboard the Princess Cruises cruise ship Caribbean Princess where we arrive in Saguenay, Canada, the first port of call on my Canada & New England cruise in September / October 2023.
In this episode I explore the city of Saguenay, in Quebec province, catching a hop on hop off bus in the port of La Baie, and heading to downtown Chicoutimi and on to the Pulp Mill, with a leisurely stroll along the Saguenay River boardwalk in between.
I share my top tips and give you ideas of things to do in Saguenay.
And then with the day on land done I'll share some more bits of cruise life on board the Caribbean Princess as we sail away.

Very nice report - I am from Chicoutimi, now residing in Ottawa. Saguenay is a very popular stop, lots of ships cruising there. Did New York to Quebec City and the ship went to Saguenay, so I had lunch with old friends.

The weather was amazing - apparently quite normal for September too - definitely not what I expected. I like Canada a lot as well. Already back on the list for a return visit 😎

We were on the Caribbean Princess for a 14 day cruise of Canada New England down to Fort Lauderdale in 2022. The best day of all weather wise was this port and Newport. Bar Harbor was a bust

We had gorgeous weather in all of Canada. Crossed to the USA and Bar Harbor was almost a bust for us too (that one’s coming up in a few weeks), it rained in Boston too, but New York redeemed it 😎
