5:10 I believe it's just engrained in our society that having any form of emotion, even joy or as simple as expressing love, is not "masculine." when in reality, having emotions is healthy as long as they are regulated and expressed in a way that doesn't (TRIGGER WARNING) gaslight/harm another individual. It should be open an CONVERSATION, or even a simple & kind gesture of affection. Affection in my belief, has been seen to be more so feminine, when, again in my ideology, we all hold feminine and masculine qualities. It's simply figuring out how to express both in a healthy manner rather than demonize someone for doing simple gestures that do show affection and care by saying they are a "simp." Expressing affection is supposed to be apart of every relationship, even outside of romantic ones. I truly belive it's engrained, even in south america, that being kind, is too "feminine," for a man, but, is a man really a man if he cannot express such qualities. just my thoughts tho.
