Indeed, the iPhone performed well with stabilization in its normal settings. However, I noticed a significant improvement in the Pixel 9 Pro XL's stabilization when Video Boost was activated, compared to its standard mode. It's interesting how different manufacturers have different feelings about photography. I think the pixel 9 pro's photos are really nice in my eyes. I'm curious to see how it will change when the iPhone 16 comes out soon, but even with the iPhone 15, it already seems to be beating the other manufacturers in video shooting.

Indeed, the Pixel 9 Pro XL delivers impressive still imagery, and its video capabilities have also improved. In many of the tests, I even preferred it over the Samsung S24 Ultra. However, Apple still has an edge in professional video due to their codecs, which make a significant difference. This holds true in filmmaking as well-formats like Arri RAW and Red RAW retain much more color information and dynamic range. While the sensor is important, so is the recording format. If Google and Samsung adopt more robust video codecs, they could potentially match Apple in video quality. As we’ve seen, in standard photo processing, the Pixel has consistently matched or even surpassed Apple in some tests. I’ll be testing the 16 Pro against the Pixel 9 Pro and the 15 Pro Max in a few weeks, so stay tuned!
