Oh this looks so good ! This looks like the hot smoothy i use to get from McDonalds that they discontinued. I loved this and now i know how to make it ! I got go many ideas for this. I am pre- diabetic so i do have to watch the sugar. i know cinnamon helps metabolizes sugar ten times faster. I do like pistachios and coconut idea but I love cardamom just had some in my coffee so i would put cardamom instead of cinnamon and add a pinch of vanilla and decorate it with a stevia leaf. . Oh another one i could use peppermint flavoring and chocolate shavings on top and add a chocolate mint leaf on top Like a peppermint patty after dinner treat. Thanks for this one its great!

Just made this, but adapted it slightly. I added 3 pods of cardamom to the milk when adding the cornstarch, and half teaspoon of vanilla powder/sugar instead of the rose water. Really yum! Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Thank you mentioning Sahlep/Salep as orchidea bulbs as its actual origin - After run out of my Salep from Istanbul, I found Salep product to make a pudding - dilute it and you have a drink - rather sugary, but added hint of salt makes the balance

I made this just now and it s just so delish without being too sweet. This is why I love Arabic desserts and lot of Asian sweets. There are so many variety flavours ( I adore rose flavour desserts but often struggle to find any in my local grocery shop) and most of them are not too sweet which is what I love. And btw I made Arabic coffee Nutella ice cream by using your recipe and I don’t think I will buy ice cream from shops ever again.

This drink McDonald's had as a vanilla hot smoothy in Canada in the winter it was my favorite and now i know how to make it. but there is a few twits i put on this. since corn is mostly all GMO i used potato starch and you know that banana baby food that they sell well i add a banana to cold milk to a bullet then add the corn starch and sugar and vanilla and now you got a banana baby food smoothy and you can dress it up with cinnamon , cardamom nuts of your choice or even cacao or rum and raisins etc

So, I just made this. I just about ate my fingers off. 😰😳😳💞 this was so good. I had to make some alterations due to lacking some ingredients but I'm totally crazy for rose water and orange blossom as well. Whatever I just made was incredible 😂😂😂 I had whole milk, I tossed in some toasted sesame seeds. The sugar I used was very dark brown sugar(omg!) I used a teaspoon of rose water. I know, I know. It was so good 😂 I didn't have any coconut, but I added a little vanilla extract and ground cardamom as it came up to simmer/thicken. I topped it with cinnamon and I added dried cranberries. Omg... The cranberries... A burst of warm sour deliciousness! I can't wait to make this again. I love pistachios but was out. Wow. Where has this been all my life? 😱😭😭😭💞❤️💞🙏🏾 I seriously almost want to make another glass but it is after midnight lol oops! Thanks for sharing! Blessings!

It's my favorite drink during winter when I'm in Tel Aviv and Jaffa (nowhere to be found in Belgium, unfortunately). I don't like the store bought mix because the flower taste tastes a bit funky, for some reason. I once made it with a pudding mix because I didn't have plain corn starch on hand. (Don't judge, we all know pudding mix is just a vanilla flavored corn starch. ;) haha). Thanks for the video! Even though I know many Middle Eastern dishes, it still inspires me what do make for lunch/dinner/snacks. :)

If you already have the Sahlab powder, would it still be good to add rose water, or would that be too much flavour? I've never had rose water before, but we have it at Canadian Superstore. They actually have quite a fine Middle East selection.
