Mike Allan Right. I enjoyed the vid, but also couldn’t help noticing a small hole in their story, namely that they never mentioned once that they were actually visiting a different country, Canada, their neighbour to the North.

Mike Allan Wow didn’t notice that! Thanks for pointing that out! I have to go back and look at the area on a map. Living in Miami most of my life I guess that whole area seem to be the same. 👍🏼

Been living in Southern Ontario Canada, for 32 years as a boater very blessed to have so many choices within a 4 hour drive Great Lakes, Georgian Bay which is the southern body of water of the North channel and the east side of Georgian Bay which is just riddled with islands and channels, Trent Canal, Readeu canal, St Lawrence river (1000 islands) plus all the inland lakes. If your a winter person 60,000 km of groomed snowmobile trails, and we are Canadians many places to check out a cool dog sled ride LOL

Hey! You guys REALLY got us inspired. As the crow flys we are about 70 miles from the North Channel. We are in Alpena, MI and I was shocked to find such amazing cruising ground in our back yard, Once the snow and ice melts we will trailer our Catalina 22 over and spend a week. If the two of you ever come through this area please reach out. We keep our Catalina on Long Lake just outside our door!. "We will keep the light on for you"

Hi Guys, just watched the North Channel episode and it brought back a flood of childhood memories. Born and raised in Sudbury (about 60 miles east) and spent a lot of time climbing terrain and walking through the bush exactly the same as what you experienced. Powerboated and lived aboard in Toronto for many years but never made it to the North Channel. Now living on the west coast in British Columbia where a lot of the geology and terrain is similar. Unfortunately our boating days are in the past. Keep the great videos coming and hope to see more of you on Soulianis. Best regards, Stuart Macadam.

Thanks for allowing us to follow along. I'm learning a lot from you guys. Kirk, I'm constantly impressed with your research and ability to be a jack of all trades. Lauren, the editing on these continue to get better and better. I almost skipped over the road trip episodes to get back to the boat but I'm glad that I didn't. I went to Killarney almost every summer from roughly age 6 (1981) to age 23 (1997). We stayed at Killarney Mountain Lodge where guests could go out on their Cal 46 called "Stormy Night." Every year, we took a cruise to Baie Fine and did the same hike to Lake Topaz. I think I have jumped off that exact rock you show in this video. I have tried so many times to describe Killarney to my wife, but I never really could do it justice until this video. Growing up in Michigan, I learned how to sail small boats and windsurf, but the Killarney experience always made me want to get into sailing. Now, I sail all the time (mostly in AZ and CA) and tomorrow, I will take my maiden voyage on our new Catalina 270. Thanks for your channel. We have been watching you from the beginning.
