Quiet times at sea are special, however, I used to love belting out songs sometime. I killed it. LOL Another fantastic video. Thx

Yes. We have a fishing pole. Also a hand line and many dozens of "Guaranteed to catch fish" lures.

The two solar panels are rated at .5 amps each. It is just barely enough if there is plenty of sun. They were fine in Hawaii, not so much up North. The main advantage to those particular panels is the mounting system.

Pretty much everything we wish to share on line is on our web site on The Crew page. The link is in the video description. The only details left out are that we both worked in the motorcycle industry, were involved in the community and had a normal social life before we decided the time had come for new adventures.

Actually, we are not in Sitka. We are in the much smaller town of Petersburg on Mitkoff island. We were thinking of doing something on cruising costs but Lynn and Larry Pardey have done such a great job of that in "The Cost Conscious Cruiser" (Available on our web site in The Book Locker) that we decided we don't have much to add.

We just shoot a bunch of video and stills while we are at sea. The computer stays packed away. When we reach port we sort through everything, organize it according to date, then, day by day edit it into the daily logs.

Of course we have heard the Spam Song by Monte Python. Who hasn't? Spam is still popular as ever in Hawaii and we actually have a few cans on the boat (Just for emergencies or trading material)

Chuck & Laura, I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing your adventures! Chuck, the book with the sailing tips, do you recall the title and author? I have quite a collection of books but know I don't have that particular one. I was hoping I could find it used online. Thanks!

We have found It costs us considerably less to live the cruising life than it did for us to go to work every day in the city. It takes less than you might think and we have easily been able to earn enough along the way to sustain our lifestyle.

Thank you Chuck/Laura I know I really wanna sail sometime within the year. I will of course get lessons, and then take a small crew with me for awhile to get more knowledge. I am a writer among other things, just not a well off paid writer. Do you think blogging would be a good way to earn money as I cruise the open waters?

Hey I was wondering being that I caught that, you both live aboard the yacht. What do you do when funds run low. How easy or how hard is it to make money, while traveling and living on a boat.

A while back a troll got into an argument with one of our subscribers. He started using foul language and name calling. We warned him to stop and deleted his posts but he kept doing it so we blocked him. Next day we had 146 dislikes. LOL! Since then we get one dislike on almost every video. Ironically, as far as KZbin is concerned, likes and dislikes both count as viewer engagement equally. At least he is still watching d:^) Thanks for sailing with us Tom
