I'm really considering building your Folk PJOA for some exploring on the Sea of Cortez. How well does this sail upwind (tacking or I guess "shunting" angles)?

Both Folk Pjoa and Pjoa Laguna have same vaka underwater, so in terms of windward performance there is no difference and this is comparable to regular dinghies around. Folk Pjoa is presented here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/npilqWqCaqialcU , in my channel. In the movie we demonstrate Folk Pjoa under two different sails (size matters). From the beginning we use straight yards and CC sail ca. 8sqm, which we propose as a inexpensive option in the plans. For the second part of the movie we "borrowed" 10 sqm polyester sail with curved yards from Pjoa Laguna. We think such change can be an option later on, in case one has demand for more power. Hello, very cool your video. I see that you do not use the oar or rudder to keep the course straight. Doesn't this canoe try to face the wind? Is the hull asymmetrical?

Януш, я бы пожалел корпус и на вытаскивал бы проа на пляж. Лучше на якорь поставить. Какая там краска ? Полиуретановая ?

Pjoa Laguna sdielano iz ABS. Kraski nikakoj, nienuzno. Na kilie aluminewa sztaba.

А как вы соединяли детали из АБС пластика между собой ? Мне удавалось очень хорошо склеивать пластик на смоле "К - 153". Только нужно получше задрать склеиваемые детали грубой шкуркой или обломком ножовочного полотна по металлу. Также интересует, как сказалось применение АБС на весе корпуса по сравнению с берёзовой фанерой 4 мм.

Teraz to żeglujemy już tylko wirtualnie i przygotowujemy na Warszawski Salon Jachtowy w Ptak Expo. Folk Pjoa jeszcze dyżuruje nad Zalewem Zegrzyńskim w Między Żaglami. Pjoa Laguna zaś wróciła znad Zatoki Puckiej do rodzimej szkutni na odświeżenie.
