Just to say - I have been catching up on your Ozzy journey's up our Beautiful QLD Coast and it brings a smile to my soul that you both seem to have really enjoyed many of the spots along the Qld coast, VERY cool! Also to mention that to me it seems very obvious at just how much love/respect/consideration you both really do seem to have for each other, this some time now, since Rhonda you joined James sailing journeys - you really do both seem to compliment and respect and love each other, VERY nice to see! Wishing you both ALL the best ahead! SY Mistress, Sunny Coast, QLD.

Nice one guys. Btw Rhonda, I'm proud of you. Hiking barefoot.!! Pascale, originally Free Range Sailing, now Free Range Living, and Troy, where it was ok, would hike barefoot. There were a couple of views there, that reminded me of certain bays in the Marlborough Sounds. Don't you think.? Only thing missing was the sounds of tuis, and bellbirds. Yeah kookaburras are ok. Btw guys, when you are moving between anchorages, never waste a moment. Have a line in the water trolling at all times. Make more use of that smoker. Yeah believe it not, that's how you catch fish 😂. Free food. More importantly, thank you for taking me along with you. Much appreciated. All the very best from across the ditch here in Nz.

Cid harbour and the northern wall just outside🥶 5 shark attacks there in 2 years. Nara is beautiful and some nights when a northerly hits there will be 50+ boats in there nose to stern and side by side. Good on you guys, it’s a beautiful place. 🇦🇺🙆♂️

Go for a snorkel at Saba bay southern key hole on hook. Anchor 200 out cause there is some shallow reef, but it’s beautiful. Giant clams on either side, anemones, lots of cool fish and plenty of colour. I haven’t been for a few years but it was one of my favourites. Also butterfly bay, north key hole. Watch for bombies and head in on tender. ✌️

Hi James and Rhonda, thanks for the wonderful video. I can never understand why people want to come and destroy what they come to enjoy and it’s amazes me that some absolute idiots wouldn’t want to crawl in the cave and destroy these wonderful cave art. Such a good video this week James and Rhonda, I'm reading a book at the moment, "Sapiens, a brief history of humankind." And it talks about success being measured in time, and how low calorific diet hunter gatherers lasted for tens, of tens of thousands of years and how high calorific diet post industrial societies have only lasted so far about 300 years and we're in the shit. They say necessity is the mother of invention, clearly the aboriginal cultures had everything they needed. Thank you both 🤘👍..

It's the longest known continuous human culture on the planet .. dating back 60,000 years. Sea levels have changed repeatedly in that time and so has the climate...and biology.

I'm pretty sure that's a no... but he probably if he did he's never mentioned it .... He was in a relationship way back when he was first sailing to Catalina island but she left and took the dog they had. After that he commited to boat life and sailing round the world ...first leg was to Hawaii.

2:31 um, not meaning to be rude but there are so many maps/brochures/online guides why not do a bit of old fashioned reasearch and navigation to those sights rather than have the need for multiple physical eyesores (to some at least) of the touristy signs pointing to this and that defining reality like the wild is some huge museum on show. Some of us want to just experience not needing a definition or explination thrust upon us at every turn. I would suggest if you like that stuff, take a guide book, rather than need infrastructure for people everywhere to see in the wild. There are only more and more of these, never less, same with walkways, duckboards, fenced off areas, restricted areas. As you said, makes sense in high traffic areas but we need to 'learn when to hold em'. Unless I got you completely wrong and when you said there are no signs you were saying it, like I would, with joy. " 🎶 And the sign said long haired hippy people need not apply... 🎶 "

Seems like a strange thing to get defensive about 😂😂😂
@anonymous.notatall6419Ай бұрын
@SailorJames yeah I guess hearing a local view against the gentrification and "civilised" organization of the wilderness would seem strange to people touring the world escaping areas already so much more controlled and ordered. It's just I grew up in a world where you could walk for days to weeks in the wild without any evidence of humans or their input other than a thin dirt track, and I miss that, so I find it hard not to comment when people suggest there should be more signs or infrastructure. It's along the same lines as if you grew up under street lights you will never quite get how gastly they are to the bushman or the sailor who just wants to see the stars. I am sure you get the idea from navigating fish farm lights at night at sea or city approaches compared to the open sea. I am sorry for using your comments as a vechile of comment if it offends, but where I can I like to say can we please have less not more evidence of humans out of towns and cities please. The old saying was "leave it as if you were never there" not plant a placard.
