Excellent footage! I used to pass the Drake Passage on the R/V LMG and stay in the US Palmer Station for a bit more than 3 months. Looking forward to your next video going south. I am a green sailor and only have done few coastal cruises. I admire both of your courage and skills of sailing around the world. Thinking of quitting my job and getting prepared as a circumnavigator. Good luck and sail safe!

Amazing! Congratulations on this accomplishment. Ice in the rigging seems like a challenge. Those rough seas and the cold temps would make being on deck very uncomfortable. Very brave of you. I have read a lot about sailing around the Horn. This area is one of the most dangerous sailing areas in the world. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Wishing you a Safe Passage

Great video Annie and it got me exited :-) I'm realy looking foreward to seeing what Southern Ocean and Antarctic cruising is like. The majority of the KZbin sailors stick to the warm waters and I do enjoy following thier adventures and I've always wonderd when we see some more cold water adventures. Teleport's channel, Drake Paragon and even that Alaskan bear hunter - sailor have brought my atention back to the colder waters. I grew up in New Zealand where many Antarctic expeditions started and vividly recall watching a ship leave Lyttelton Harbour for the Southern Ocean and I so wished I could be on board that ship. I tried getting into the RNZAF so I could fly C-130's to McMurdo but I guess my autistic traits were present in between my abilities.

I am wondering what happened after Usuaha Annie. Despite the Cold and snow it looked like you were having fun. Looking lovely as always, yet I was glad not being able to smell anything. LOL. I have been down to Usuaha 3 Years ago as a starting point to go to the AntArtic peninsulla on a expedition boat 110m long for an expedition holiday. Which became very interesting when we tried to outrun a major storm on the way back for 2 days, which got to windforce 12, we got to experience winds up to about windforce 8. Which was impressive to endure. Drake s passage always a challenge of course. I hope you are alright. I really would like to see more of your lovely video’s. Definitely not the last time +Jakob Ladurner! It's exhilarating :) the time you spend outside in the cold is minimal - you get very fast at reefing and trimming!
