I’d love to see you guys get a used kite. It would really help in these low wind downwind sails. Also don’t feel you need a sock or any other addition things to make putting it up or taking it down more difficult.

snorkle and free diving is so much easier to do than all the equipment and expense of scuba. I liked scuba but man it's expensive.

This is true ! We originally wanted to have a compressor and scuba gear on the boat but diving is a ‘buddy sport’ and if we were anchoring & diving somewhere remote who would be watching joco ? Unknown made-up anchorages are a bit iffy for leaving the boat . So , if we sail somewhere that has a mind blowing underwater world we’ll just go with a dive outfit on a ‘tour’

I can't freedive at all, luckily I was able to get a 4 person hookah system dirt cheap. Since you are still in St Marteen you should hook up with our friends on Sailing Kelpie. Neel 51 Trimaran.

Don't always be so afraid of the hurricane season... They announce themselves early and the area where it gets uncomfortable is so small that you can sail away comfortably. In the past, people asked in vain... to avoid crossing the Atlantic during the season.
