Amazing to see a creek flowing when you're in the middle of the ocean. This island is small but has so much. I like the background music. It seems more pronounced lately, and it adds to the footage.

To James! a bird tells me you might get the courage to sail your boat from France to Australia over a very long passage. Do not ever make long passages like this! Make sure you stop at every supply hub ! Make sure you do not bite off more than you can chew! And keep your main sail maintained! Even though you think it is new and ready. The new sail gets chafed very badly. I hear you may be stranded with no help. God bless and safe smart travels. Less people less disaster🖖🤟🤯🌏🌠🇽🇰📅 stay cool, Don't over heat.

Hey James, those eels were huge! I too was surprised that a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific not only has fresh water, but its own freshwater eels...so crazy! Fair winds brother! ⛵🌏
@leaveonlywake2 жыл бұрын
You can find eels almost any/everywhere freshwater runs into the ocean. Young eels live in small coastal streams/waters while growing, head to sea as adults, and come back to breed later. A friend of mine used to catch them commercially, and he told me he would set his nets up *anywhere* fresh water met salt - ditches, creeks, culverts, small dams... and almost always would catch at least some.

What makes these unique is they have blue eyes

Yo brother and kia ora from NZ. I seldom comment on KZbin stuff, but you've touched my soul. I love what you're doing and will be out there with you in due course. I've been living on and restoring a 40-foot Hartley for the past year. I'm looking after a mate's house (and dog) this week and find I'm not sleeping so sweet, without the bubbles beneath me. Falling asleep looking at the stars through the hatchcover above my berth. Waking up and greeting the day through the same perspex window. It's magic. Hit me up if you drop your pick in NZ, bro. And I'll buy you a beer.
